"Dani, is that you? Can you cook some noodles for me?"

I look up and follow where the voice is, and my heart dropped to the floor when I saw her. My knees had lost its strength and I fell on the floor, kneeling. I can't believe, how does this happen to her?

No, I must be mistaken. Can she be... no, she's not. I'm still in denial.

"Dani?" She turned to where we are, right behind the door. In a normal situation, she must've seen me by now. But her glance just passes through me, she just stared blankly.

I turned to look at Dani and her Dad, they nodded as if confirming what's on my mind, Dani's a little teary-eyed.

"Hey, Dani! Stop scaring me!" She screamed, I can feel how frustrated she is.

I was about to say something when her dad, tapped my shoulder and shook his head from left to right, signaling me not to say anything.

"A-ah, yes. I'm here. What do you want."

"I want some noodles."

"We ran out of stocks I'll just go ad grab one. It'll be fast I promise. I'll go now."

"Okay. Dani, I have a lot on my mind right now, can you take down my dictations later? Are you free the whole day?"

"S-sure thing."

After their little conversation, both Dani and Tito Al pulled me away from the room.

"Now that you've seen her, I hope you've already satisfy your curiosity." Tito Al said with a hint of sarcasm.

"She's...how did it happen?"

"You couldn't say it? Yes, she's blind!" Tito Al blurted and immediately sat on the couch. His palms are on his face, trying to control his sobbing.

"I don't know what happened between you two, but when I got home after work two years ago, she was unconscious and she's lying on the floor. Her room's too messy and her floor's wet, I saw a bottle of tequila on her room. I thought she just passed out due to the liquor but it worse than that.

---------- 2 Years Ago-------------

"Yuhooo, what are you doing? Can I go in?"

No answer. Silence means yes so I'll go in now.

"What's that smell? Hmmp, hey! Your room stinks, gross!" I turned the light on only to be surprised when I saw my sister on the floor. The floor is a little wet and something was spilled on the floor and on my twin's body. It smells like a cleaning agent that mom is using.

"Oh hell! Where does she got this tequila?" I murmured and tried to wake her up.

After a few tries, she finally opened her eyes.

"Hey! Your room is in a complete mess! Just wait until mom gets here."

"Dani... Dani, where are you?!" She sat down, still on the floor.

"Right in front of you bitch. Don't use that trick on me, twinnie."

"Dani... I can't see you, I can't see anything. Help me, Dani, help me!"

I look at her true enough, she's not kidding, she's crying and she started to cry hysterically.

"What do you mean you can't see; I am—Oh God! Mom! Dad!" Her eyes looked cloudy.

We rushed her in the nearest hospital, but we were too late, the chemical burn was severe that she developed a corneal disease due to chemical burn.

She told us that she drank and she felt her world is falling and she fell on the floor, while trying to fall to that spinning pit, she held on to whatever she can and that's when something fell on her face. She described it as something hot and she felt her face and eyes are burning and she passed out due to a lot of pain.
