thirty seven(special)

"hey, seok? y'know my friend namjoon?" yoongi asked, voice low as to not disrupt the peaceful atmosphere the pair had created that evening.

"hmm? yeah, why? what about him?" the younger man replied, looking down slightly to face his boyfriend.

"we were wondering if you wanted to make a song with us? and your friends could make one with our friends, or we could all make one together if it goes well?"

"yes! you know i'd never turn that offer down."

"mkay, we can talk about it with the others tomorrow, for now let's just get back to the movie."

"what if we put that part there and switched this with that?" hoseok suggested, pointing at the monitor displaying the track.

"yeah, great idea! we could also repeat this part over here." namjoon nodded, grinning.

yoongi smiled contentedly, watching two of the people he cared about dearly smiling and laughing with one another. he looked down at his phone, opening instagram and clicking on his boyfriend's profile.

despite having been together for a couple of months, this was the first time the pair were making anything together. this isn't to say yoongi hadn't wanted to – he did, he just wasn't sure how or when to bring it up.

hoseok's follower count had grown since the beginning though, due to yoongi publicly following him during their first month together. yoongi pouted at that slightly, wishing that people would be able to recognise his boyfriend's talent on their own.

yoongi sighed softly and put his phone down once again, turning back to the pair working at the monitor. while he could be helping create the track with them, he knew it was best to allow them to have creative freedom over it until he would go in and refine it to be its best later on. also, letting his best friend and his boyfriend interact with each other could go one of two ways: they don't click as well as yoongi did with either of them, but they work together as friends despite not having a strong connection. or, they would hit it off right away and yoongi would regret introducing them to one another because they would become inseparable. this was beginning to look like the latter.

"hey, check it out!" hoseok beamed at yoongi, pointing at the increasing number of followers on his instagram account.

"i'm proud of you, seok-ah. they're finally recognising how amazing you are." he mumbled, humming softly when hoseok tackled him with a hug.

"i love you so much, yoongs. thank you, for everything." he spoke softly, a delicate smile on his face and eyes full of adoration.

"i love you too, seok. and don't thank me, you deserve this- so much more than this. this is only the beginning."
