A/N REDOING THIS CHAPTER haha, I felt the need to do this for a while now, okay maybe a year now, but I never had the time. But after watching Maybaby's royal crush, it inspired me to update, and seeing as I had no new ideas for my new books, I figured I'd rewrite this chapter.
"He was dating three girls at once, Kayla!" I said, my voice muffled due to the endless amount of Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream being stuffed inside my mouth.
I admit it, I was a mess right now, but what could I do? This was just a typical break up.
"I know that" sighed Kayla on the other end of the phone.
"But you cannot expect a hot guy like Luke-"
I growled. "That's not helping!"
"Okay! Okay! Firstly, Why didn't you say you liked Luke, I mean I liked him but i have my eyes on some new meat!" I could hear the excitement in her voice.
"I thought you loved him" I mumbled.
"So did I, until I met his cousin Tyla!" she squealed as I gasped.
"He was the one who touched my butt!" I giggled slightly as did she.
"Oh well, he's cute, you can have Luke as long as I get Tyla!"
"But I don't want Luke" I moaned.
"I thought I did but he literally gave me evidence that he was cheating on me, right in front of my eyes! What was I meant to do? Pretend I didn't hear it?!" I yelled.
"Fine! But tell me this, when I say Luke, what comes to mind?" Kayla asked, I could hear curiosity dripping from each word.
"Uhh, I think of him I guess..?"
"Okay what is he doing exactly?"
I tightly shut my eyes, fully picturing Luke, I smiled at what I could see.
"I see him and me, the both of us, playing. I'm taking his snap-back whilst he tries to get it back... I'm laughing and he is smiling, not the evil smirk he always has on, a genuine smile." I find my smile becoming much more broader as I say this, and I only have a little pain in my stomach from knowing he wasn't mine anymore.
"Exactly! There! That's the spark you guys had, and possibly still have! You definitely still love him, Mack! I can tell by the tone of your voice and what comes to mind when you hear his name. It's the little things like that, that show you what you think of him! And you can't stand not being around him!"
I nodded, despite knowing she couldn't see me.
It made sense, I did love him, even though he was a jerk.
"Yeah, So? Wow, I love him! Doesn't change the fact he had two other girls he was dating at the time he was dating me!" I spat.
"Look! You still love him and theres a ninety nine percent chance he loves you back. That also comes with faith, trust, loyalty! He'll tell you the truth just ask him why!" she nagged at me as I once again nodded.
"Okay, well I'm going to go get ready, talk later! Bye!" we exchanged our goodbyes, before I started to tidy up.
I hopped in the shower and then put on a white vest top and blue jeans along with some plain white trainers. Leaving my hair out, I exited my house with just my phone and keys and began to go to Luke's. I knocked at the door and was greeted by Beau.
"Hey Mack! How've you been?" he smiled.
"Uhh Good, have you seen Luke?" I asked switching back to back from heel to toe.
"Uhh yeah I'll just go get him"
Within seconds Luke came out, he was dressed and ready to go out.
"See you in a bit ma!" he yelled as Gina replied with an 'okay'.
"I'm so sorr-"
"I'll accept your apology once I've heard the story!"
"Fine, lets go get something to eat first! Im hungry!" and with that we hopped into the car and drove to Maccas.
Once we had got some food, me just having chips because I was full from the ice-cream, he began to talk.
"Molly and Terra were my exes" he started taking a bite out of his big mac.
"But after we dated, they never left me alone! For god-sake, I even moved to Spain for a week in hope to get a week of peace, but they just hopped on a plane to Spain the day I had left! They followed me everywhere!" He paused again to eat some more of his burger.
"So I eventually got used to them, since they wouldn't actually understand we were over, I'd lie to them and say we were together! They still follow me around, pretty much everywhere, I wouldn't be surprised if they were here right now!"
The last part made me a bit uncomfortable, so i shifted a bit in my seat.
"But the only way to get them to stop annoying me completely was to say that I still liked them! So I wanted some alone time that day, and I told them if they agreed to be my cousins I'd continue to date them" he then took a sip of coke as his mouth appeared to be dry.
"So why didn't you tell me the truth?" I asked, sipping on my strawberry milkshake.
"Because" he gulped down his last bit of coke.
"You wouldn't believe me, God knows why your believing me now, but thank you for listening! Yesterday I wanted the date to be perfect, no interruptions, but it didn't go to plan" he chuckled towards the end.
"Naa shiz" I giggled.
"Here you can even see what they text me!" Luke handed me his phone and I chewed on my bottom lip as I scrolled through the messages.
At first he told them to go away, as he only loved and I quote 'Mack'! This made me smile, but they seemed to be confused, so he eventually just agreed with everything they said, including what he was going to wear for prom...
"Pink Fluffy Bunny slippers?" I asked, holding in my laughter, but barely holding in my smile.
"Its gotten to a point where my auto-correct corrects 'No' to 'Yes'!" he shook his head, breathing loudly, an almost sigh.
"So do you accept my apology?" he asked, a hint of hope present in his voice.
I nodded, grinning widely.
"Yes I accept"
"Well then, Mack would you accompany me-" he paused, reaching into his back pocket and pulled out two tickets
"-to Prom?"
"On one condition!" I said, making his eyes widen and he became nervous.
"You wear purple fluffy bunny slippers!" I laughed as he did too.
"Deal"
