Crystal's pov

March 21st
-

Daya grabs Gigi's bag as I walk her to the couch. We sit down and I wrap my arms around her tightly holding her close to me. Her body was shaking as she slowly tried to stop crying. Daya sat the bag down and walked away into the kitchen. Gigi and I sat like that for a while until she finally picked her head up.

"I'm sorry for ruining your shirt." Gigi half smiles.

"It's okay, I have plenty of em." I smile back. That gets half a laugh out of her before she frowns at the ground again. I grab her hand and lightly squeeze it.

"Thank you, for being there for me once again." Gigi says.

"Of course, do you want to take your bag upstairs? I can clear out part of my dresser for your stuff." I say beginning to stand.

"Um I was actually thinking I would stay with Daya." Gigi says tucking her hair behind her ear.

"Oh um, okay." I smile and nod trying to hide the fact that I was disappointed. Just then Daya walks back into the room with a bowl of popcorn and some drinks.

"Movie night?" Daya smiles brightly handing a bowl to Gigi. Daya has always been really good at comforting people and I've always admired that. She sits next to Gigi and hands us our drinks.

"As long as we watch Twilight." Gigi says.

"I second that decision!" I say grabbing the remote. We settle down on the couch to watch the movie, about halfway through Gigi lays her head down on my shoulder. We mindlessly munch on popcorn and drink our lemonade.

"This is the best scene!" Gigi exclaims grabbing one of my hands and shaking it. If it wasn't for the fact that she grabbed my hand I would have assumed she forgot she wasn't alone by the way she jumped up in excitement. Muse's music blasts from the speakers as the baseball scene plays and I smile at the back of her head as she leans closer to the tv. Daya giggles and looks at me pretending to be shocked pointing at Gigi and my fingers laced together. I roll my eyes and swat her with my free hand. Once the scene is over Gigi lays her head back down on my shoulder for the rest of the movie.

...

After the movie is over, Daya gets up and stretches. She points to Gigi on my lap with a fake pout, and I tap her arm lightly. She moves slightly, but she's asleep. I lightly wiggle out from under her, trying not to wake her. The stress of her day probably tired her out. I follow Daya into the kitchen, as Gigi sleeps softly on the couch.

"Okay what the fuck happened?" I ask Daya.

"This is all that Violet girl's fault" Daya replies angrily, I was kind of surprised by how upset she was getting since her and Gigi weren't very close. "I think you should let me beat the shit out of her".

"You definitely could, and as entertaining as that would be" I say picturing it. "What happened with Gigi?".

Daya sighs and looks in Gigi's direction before looking at me.

"I was driving down her street when I saw her car was parked on the side of the road and she was crying her eyes out" She says softly. "I guess her parents are a homophobic". I sigh softly, and look at her.

"I have no idea how to help her" I say sadly, wishing it was different. "My parents were fine with me being pan, my mom was thrilled".

Daya puts her hand over mine and smiles.
"I think you're actually helping her more than anything right now" she says smiling. Daya could be nice when she wanted to be. She was really protective over everyone she loved, which is one of the things that makes her such a good friend.

"Oh yeah, then why doesn't she wanna stay here?" I ask.

"I think it's a good idea to be honest" Daya says simply. "Her parents would be pissed if they found out she was here, with you, you know?" I nod slightly and look at the ground.

"She'll be fine" Daya says nicely.

"Yeah I know" I reply with a small smile.

"So what are we gonna do about Violet?" She asks, her tone changing. "I'll fucking kill her". I laugh but Daya doesn't budge.

"We'll think of something. Right now I wanna make sure Gigi is okay" I say. Daya nods and grabs a refill on her drink. We walk back quietly out to the living room.
I try to lightly move Gigi to get back under her, but Daya plops down on the other side of the couch, waking Gigi.

"Aw.. is it over?" Gigi groans sleepily. I laugh as she sits up.

"Yeah, you only missed the ending" I say softly, looking at her smudged makeup.

"I need to shower" Gigi says yawning and looking at Daya.

"Grab your shit, we'll go to my house" Daya says smiling at her. I could tell Daya intimidated Gigi just a little, but I know how protective Daya would be over Gigi for me.

"Okay" Gigi says nicely, looking at me.

"I'll see you tomorrow or something" I say.

Gigi grabs my hand and squeezes it. She smiles and stands up stretching. I can tell she's still upset, because she doesn't say anything before leaving. Once her and Daya leave,  I lean back on the couch.
I take my phone out and pull up Violet's instagram. The picture was still there, and it had over 700 likes.

I didn't want to look at the comments, but I couldn't help it when I saw that Gigi commented. The comment was around the same time it was posted, and my heart dropped when i read it.

@/gigigoode: I would never date her. She's ugly and not my type. Please delete this.
