It was again the time of the year where the country's most influential people had to pick a wife and get married. This year, it was the nation's youngest billionaire and heartthrob, Mew Suppasit's turn to choose. At a young age of 20, Mew had already made his first billion. He was the founder and CEO of S.P, a renowned company in Thailand that has generated millions of dollars in revenue. He owned several properties in Thailand as well making him the biggest shareholder in the market.

Aside from having much authority and power, Mew was also known for his good looks. He was attractive and it is thus no surprise that he was the eye candy of every girl and guy and they would be wedded to him any day. Mew Suppasit was everyone's favorite and so this year was particularly exciting as they waited nervously for the letter to arrive.

Boy-next-door Gulf Kanawut was never interested in getting married, and he'd doubt he'd be chosen anyway. He was after all, just a commoner. As he stared at the window, looking at all the girls waiting eagerly for the postman to arrive, he can't help but shake his head sadly - When will they realise that these influential people will only choose people of a certain social standing? And that they were out of reach from commoners like themselves? Nevertheless, he felt bad ruining their hopes so he kept his mouth shut and headed back to the living room.

Gulf planted himself comfortably on his couch, had both his legs crossed on the table and a packet of chips in hand. He was scrolling through the channels boredly when his sister, Earn came to the living room and plunged herself snuggly onto the couch, next to Gulf.

"Aren't you going to see if a letter would arrive?" Earn wriggled her brows suggestively, and Gulf simply scoffed at her not-so-funny joke. He didn't even bother giving her a reply, as he continued to scroll through the channels hoping to find one to keep himself entertained for the day because he was getting bored with the stereotypical sappy romance dramas that were apparently, much to Gulf's horror, extremely popular. He just couldn't understand why people enjoyed watching such cliche story lines, his sister included. They were just so cringy and unrealistic!

Just when Gulf was about to get off his seat to grab himself another packet of chips, the doorbell rang.

Gulf furrowed his brows - Who'd be here at this hour? He didn't remember Earn telling him that her friends were coming over today. Gulf turned to look at his sister, but Earn didn't seem to even hear that the doorbell had rung because her eyes were glued to her phone.

So Gulf opened the door, and surprisingly, it was the postman who was standing outside. He had a bunch of letters in his hand, some of which were for him but mostly it was his sister's. He took the letters in gratefully, and closed the door behind him with his foot after.

"Who was it?" Earn muttered, eyes still fixated on the screen.

"The postman." Gulf replied as he sorted out the letters, fishing out the ones that belonged to him. He took his letters to the coffee table in the living room, most of them were regarding their unpaid bills for the month. Looking at them caused the boy a headache. They were almost two months behind rent, and if they didn't pay up by the end of this month, they were going to be evicted.

There was one envelope in particular that stood out to Gulf. It was a lot smaller than the other letters but it's the only envelope that had a nice glossy finish. It was also the most well-kept one out of the others that were creased and crumpled on the edges like the letters Gulf typically received. But this envelope was different.

Curious, Gulf opened up the envelope and took out the letter inside of it carefully. Even the letter was of a different material, Gulf noted.

But as soon as the letter unfolded, Gulf was frozen. He couldn't believe what he had just seen. He blinked his eyes several times in disbelief. All of this must've been a dream, he convinced himself, and he'd soon wake up from it. But every time he opened his eyes, the contents of the letter didn't change - an affirmation that this was real.

Earn must've noticed her brother had gone eerily silent for she looked up from her phone (finally) and asked with her brows creased, "What's wrong?"

But Gulf couldn't say anything. He was speechless. And so he pointed to the letter with shaking hands that read,
