Gulf was drunk, frustrated and beyond exhausted. He didn't know what happened but the next thing he remembered was being sent home by Frong, and standing in the doorway was a very very upset Mew. Mew was obviously displeased that Gulf was once again associated with Frong, and he was probably confused as to why his husband was out drinking with another man despite knowing that Mew disliked him.

Mew rushed home that night straight after the doctors at the hospital told him that Tar was in a stable condition. He knew that Gulf was clearly pissed at him for not adhering to his promise, but Mew was equally as helpless. That day, Tar was burning hot with a fever and he could barely even stand on his own two feet without falling over. Mew saw him across the street on his way back from work that afternoon and he couldn't bear to just play the oblivious card and walk away, especially not when Tar was like a younger brother to him. To be honest, if it weren't for Mew insisting that Tar be sent to the hospital, he was certain the boy would've just crashed to the floor within seconds because by the time Mew got to him, he was ghastly pale and his lips were chapped.

When Mew tried to explain to Gulf on the phone, he'd expected the man to be upset. But what he did not see coming was for Gulf to be that upset so much so that he was out drinking, something Gulf rarely did because Mew knew Gulf despised drinking. As soon as Mew got home, he tried calling the latter but even after the 10th call, the line kept beeping and Mew had to resort to spamming Gulf with messages demanding where his husband was. Mew had asked the housekeeper what had happened, but even Mr Woody didn't know where Gulf had gone.

When Mew heard the doorbell ring, he was already slightly worked up because Gulf had left him without a trace. But seeing Gulf and Frong, made his blood boil. Gulf was leaning way too comfortably against Frong who had his arm shamelessly put around his husband. The scent of alcohol was so strong that even Mew, a frequent drinker, had scrunched his nose at the stench.

"He's yours now." Mew heard Frong say, as the man passed Gulf over to Mew.

Frong knew better than to stay any longer since the dispute belonged to the couple so after a hasty goodbye, he'd left and as soon as his back was turned, as expected, the loud slamming of the door was heard.

Mew supported Gulf to the couch, but it appears that Gulf was resistant because he shrugged out of the man's hold (much to Mew's surprise) and wobbled backwards so that he was a distance away from the man. Mew tried to approach him once again, but Gulf only took more steps back and the distance between the two never got shorter.

By this point, Mew was furious. It was bad enough that he'd caught his husband getting wasted with a man and now he had to deal with one of Gulf's tantrums he didn't even know what was about. Mew glared at Gulf, before snapping harshly at the boy.

"What is wrong with you?"

It was a simple question, and Mew had never intended for it to sound so taunting (even though his tone might've implied otherwise). Yet, Gulf took it the wrong way and before Mew could even process what was happening, the boy started laughing maniacally to himself.

"What is wrong with me?" Gulf's voice was laced with so much contempt as he returned Mew's glare with a stern stare. "I wasn't the one who'd broken our promise, was I?"

Mew was initially taken aback by Gulf's sudden tone and attitude but he soon sighed exasperatedly when he realised that Gulf was pissed because he didn't turn up as agreed. Granted, he was at fault for this and so Mew's tone softened when his eyes met Gulf's blazing ones as he muttered a sincere, "Sorry". However, even though Mew was sorry for not adhering to their date, his absence was for a valid reason and Gulf owed him an apology too. After all, it was only this one time that Mew had failed to turn up and furthermore, even if he didn't turn up, it was no excuse for his husband to be out with another man at 3 am in the morning. And so, Mew retorted.
