___________________"Tomorrow's my birthday." I say tiredly into the mirror trying to convince myself that I deserve happiness. No matter how many time my pops tell me I just can't get happy. It's like I wanna be happy so bad and I be for real trying but i'm just not and I can't force myself to be.
I'm fucked up.
The only time i actually be okay is when i'm not sober. I'm tryna cut down on smoking but it's hard. It hit different knowing that you the problem. I'd end it all if I wasn't all my dad had.
Sometimes I think he do want me to just leave.
"Tu!" I heard my dad calling me by the middle name I told him not to call me yet he refuses to just listen to me because he's the adult here.
"Not even gone respond to him bruh" I said to myself walking down the stairs. He was sitting on the couch in my spot.
"Dad please get off the couch right there you know that's where i sit. We had an agreement you can sit anywhere but here!" I said probably red in the face.
He smirked and moved from the spot and to his side. "Next time answer me when I call you Tu." He put extra emphasis on Tu.
I ignored him again going to the kitchen putting my anti depressants in my mouth.
"I'm bout to go to Mahlik house" I said without looking at him waiting for him to tell me I can leave.
"Alright be safe and don't bring no fast ass girls to my house either." He said knowing I wouldn't do that.
Just wanted to have some kinda control.
When i got in the car i spit the pills in a ziplock bag with the rest of them. I'm not taking no pills that make me feel worse than what I already do. Shit is pointless.
____________"Welcome!" Mahlik said with a big smile inviting me in.
"Wassup." I said walking in going to my spot seeing a girl belongings on it.
"Who stuff this is?" I said pointing at it.
"Oh that's my homegirls stuff," this girl I didn't even notice at first said. Now that i'm paying attention his living room full of niggas.
I looked at him then walked back to the hallway motioning for him to follow.
"Hold on y'all." I heard him say to his new friends.
