A ray of sunshine lit up Angelina's face. She opened her eyes and saw the empty bed beside her. It felt cold but it smelt familiar. Angelina sat up and felt the headache she caused from crying so much. She was in a significant amount of pain from her arm.
She got out of bed and went to the bathroom. She brushed her teeth and splashed water on her face. Her under eyes were darkened, hair was in knots, and eyes were bloodshot. She didn't feel like herself.
She walked out to the living room and met Oscar at the couch. She sat besides and he held her. Oscar came to realization that he almost lost Angelina last night. That she was 6 inches away from being dead.
"Any update?" Angelina raspy voice asked
"He woke up, but Geny said you can't come unless you eat" Oscar replied
"What do you want to eat?" Angelina asked
"I already made you breakfast. There's a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich. You can eat it at I drive" Oscar informed and she smiled
She grabbed the sandwich that was on the counter and walked out the house. She sat in the car waiting for Oscar. He got in the car and began to drive to the hospital.
"You didn't sleep well last night, you kept moving in your sleep" Oscar explained
"I honestly feel fine. I'm little tired but this has been an emotional 24 hours" Angelina replied, taking a bite of her sandwich
"You didn't do anything wrong. I know you feel like you had to choose between Ruby and Cesar but you didn't know that Ruby was in trouble" Oscar alleged
Angelina sat there eating her sandwich. The night kept on replaying in her head. How everything was perfect in her life crumbled so fast. The only thing that didn't get shattered was her and Oscar. It's been a few days and honestly she didn't expect it to be this well.

Angelina and Oscar sat in the parking lot of the hospital. They sat in silence, anxiety filling up Angelina's body. Oscar held her hand as she calmed down.
"I need to handle some things but I'll come to pick you up" Oscar informed, she looked at her concerned "it's fine, you'll be okay"
"Just be safe" she said, she kissed his cheek
Angelina got out the car "promise me that you're not going to run in there like a crazy woman. They might shove needles in you" Oscar joked and she chuckled
She blew him a kiss and walked into the hospital. She walked down the long hallway and found her way to the family waiting room.
She felt like was waiting for hours when in reality it was 3 minutes. Geny showed and hugged Angelina. She followed her to Ruby's room. When Angelina opened the door, a tired Ruby looked at her
Angelina flew to the hospital bed and sat on it. Hugging him like if she hasn't seen him in a long time. Sobs came from the both of them. At the end of the day, they saw each other as siblings.
"Ruby, I'm sorry" Angelina sobbed, hugging him "I wish I could've protected you" she confessed
"Angie, it's okay. We didn't know" Ruby explained
Angelina sat on the bed with him and they both cried together "I'm sorry about Olivia, I know you loved her" Angelina apologized, holding his hand
"What happened to your arm?" Ruby asked hovering his hand over the bandage
"I got shot too, protecting Cesar" Angelina replied "we have matching wounds" Angelina tried to smile but tears were pouring down
"Mija, your birthday is this weekend. What are you going to do?" Geny asked sitting at the edge of the bed
