𝒏𝒆𝒆𝒅 𝒂 𝒓𝒊𝒅𝒆?

i forgot to tell yall that sonia is in her Junior year.Anyway enjoyy

When Steve and I got home after another day of school he handed me a halloween party flyer and honestly speaking here I don't really like partying,yep the QUEEN of hawkins high not a party gal. Instead i stayed in my room listening to Guns N' Roses  from my walkman  while reading my Wonder Woman comic,not a lot of people know that i enjoy reading because Steve was embarrassed that im a literal nerd so i kept it a secret but i would do anything for my brother. Steve came in multiple times reminding me that he'll leave at 8.He also came in to persuade me to join him and Nancy at the party but i kept declining,is he really doing that bad in school that he can't understand no?While I was reading, my phone started ringing,damn i hated that phone.

"I swear to god if it's another one of those halloween pra-"

"Relax it's just me" it was billy , i was surprised that he actually called me.

"I hope I'll see you at the party tonight" and with that he ended the call.

I really didn't want to spend my school night getting high but as cliché as it sounds I just wanted to feel the connection i had with billy again.So since i had my white tank top on I decided to go as Jeff Conaway from'Grease'.I quickly grabbed my black leather jacket, slipped on my skater latex skirt , wore my small matrix sunglasses covering my dark circles and took out  one of my marlboro reds leaving it behind my ear.I checked the time 6.15 pm  means Steve is still home.I quietly snuck out of my room to Steves room,I went to his closet and hid. After what felt like years he came, he was probably finding his Farah Fawcett hair spray.And as soon as he came in...

"BOO !"

"SONIA YOU LITLE-" i cut him off by touching his hair" NOT THE HAIR! DO.NOT.TOUCH.THE.HAIR." he looked at me seriously as i giggled.

"Just wanted to tell to pick me up later i gotta meet someone"he just nodded to me in response as i gave him the address.

I  quickly made my way to the neighbourhood filled with children.When a certain group of boys caught my eye.I's recognize those curly hair anywhere,Dustin Henderson,the boy i babysat for two years during freshmen and Sophomore year.He wasn't like the others he was genuinely fu to hang out with and boy was he funny.Unfortunately i had to stop because i was lacking in school but i made a promise with him that we'll spent our halloween together for 4 years and today is our last year because apparently he's growing up but he's always 10 in my eyes.(This part made me cry :'(.  I went over to the group and hugged the curly haired boy I even got a little teary.

"My lil boy is growing up and are those teeth?!"

"Yeah grrr and C'mon Sonia not in front of themm"

"Oh so now you're embarrassed..anyway nice to you boys look i have an 1 hour and 20 minutes with you guys so chop chop lets go" then we all went Trick 'or Treating.

After a while i gave one last hug to boys and the new girl Max but i couldn't help it and gave one last tight hug to Dustin then went to wait for Steve.He picked me up then Nancy and we made our way to the party. When we reached the party, the house was flooding with teens it really looked uncomfortable.I wanted to follow the couple but Steve ,being the douche bag he is,left me.Fortunately i bumped into Tommy and he brought me outside to where all the noise was coming from.It was billy chugging(?) a barrel of beer I smirked and decided to go inside for a drink.When he was done I could hear Tommy declaring Billy as the new 'Keg King'.I took a look at all the drinks and decided to go with the cheap beer, I found a seat at one corner of the room and just watched everyone dance.That's when Billy,Tommy and some other guys im assuming are the jocks came in chanting the champions name.They pushed through the crowd and went to Steve who was with Nancy,I could see that he was getting irritated so quickly went there to stop whatever that might happen.

"Geez Hargrove ever heard of personal space?"I said going in between the two teens.Steve and Nancy then walked to drinks while the boys were just staring at me.

"Take a picture it'll last longer" i sassed back then walked away.Took a few more drinks then went back to my seat at the corner just watching everyone again.I took the cigarette from my ear but i forgot the lighter so i got up and walked around dizzily looking for a lighter.When the Billy came over to me .

"What do ya want now huh?" i said leaning into billy.He took my hand and slipped  me a lighter.I lit the cigarette and started blowing smoke . Then 'Welcome To The Jungle' started playing I took a piece of his hair and started curling it as i took his hand and went over to the couch.We then started talking again and he told me about how he was going to replace Steve as the new King of Hawkins . When I kept laughing he went on and told me why he was better than Steve.We laughed and laughed when I saw Steve getting out of the toilet and to the door.

"hey Steve..steve!!"

"Somehow im a piece of shit so just leave me alone Sonia" he said with a shakily as i looked at him confused.

"Need a ride?" i turned around my eyes meeting the soon-to-be-king with a smirk on his face.

this chapter wasn't that good :/ i had no idea about how i was going to do the party scene but i tried :)))
