Four years ago, a sixteen year old girl with no internet and just her imagination decided to put pen to paper and tell a love story, the way she thought it should be properly told. Four years later this book has grown far better than I thought it ever would or could grow.
A long time ago I made the subconscious decision not to continue this story as I felt it had gone as far as I could take it and I just didn't love it anymore. I didn't love my characters. I didn't love my story. As much as I tried to go back and re-immerse myself in the story it just didn't feel right. I didn't like the way my characters had developed (And that's totally okay! Authors change their minds all the time) but I just... just wasn't obsessed with this story and I wanted to really go into more depth about what happened after the war, how everyone coped and got back to normal, I feel like the story I was writing before just... didn't cover what I wanted it to.
And as life does, life got in the way. Work, boys, school, etc etc and my passion for even writing itself dwindled... so I would like to thank you, dear readers, for commenting and liking and sharing this story. I've seen all your comments, I miss this story now, just as much as you all miss the updates. So I figured I owed you all an explanation as to why it fell off. Your arguments, your comments, all the love for this story reignited the fire inside me. With all the COVID-19 quarantine going on and seeing all of you ask for new chapters I decided to come back to this project, I feel ready to tackle this complex beautiful love story once more. I appreciate each and every one of you for reading ❤️
I've unpublished most of the story to rework it, most of the original story will be included but perhaps not exactly the same. In any event, I look forward to hearing your thoughts on the next step in this stories evolution. We've even got a new Book cover!!
