Simon was almost as nervous as Demi was tonight. They had not seen eachother since things had ended badly back in 2013. Simon knew that Demi still had a hatred towards him and likewise Demi knew that Simon had moved on to bigger and better things. He had his girlfriend and his son now, no room for his little brat anymore. Demi had flown completely off Simon's radar, he knew she had been to rehab but he didn't know anything else. Demi didn't know why Simon had even invited her to sing on his talent show. Truth be told, Simon didn't know why he had done it either.

Simon took in a deep breath as he watched Demi walk on stage. He had to admit that she was looking beautiful, but he couldn't help but note how vulnerable she looked, almost broken. Demi was already annoyed with herself, she had started crying as soon as she walked on to the stage, she looked at the judges panel but looked away before she reached him. He had hurt her, and she couldn't afford to get hurt again, not while she was already at rock bottom.

Once Demi started to sing she wished that she had promoted a happier song off her new album. She has chosen to sing her new song anyone, she didn't know how she was going to make it through. Halfway through the song, Simon was crying. His fellow judges noticed and gave eachother a look, they could see how much these two people meant to eachother. When Demi and Simon finally locked eyes, the world stopped.

The two kindred spirits stared at each other with nothing but love and emotion. They started to forget the fallout between them and Simon was kicking himself at not being there for her. Demi sang the last few lines while sobbing her heart out. Once they went to break she walked off stage to get ready to go home, she didn't want to see anyone. She was lost in her thoughts when she felt two strong arms wrap around her.

She knew immediately, the smell of cigarettes, money and mints filled her nose. She felt the familiar fabric of his famous white t-shirt.

"You hurt me Si" Demi whispered, barely loud enough for anyone to hear.

"You hurt me too Demi, you just left"

"You got her pregnant, how was I meant to react?"

"I know Demi, I'm sorry. If I could go back in time and change everything I would. I love you more than you'll ever know"

"I love you too Simon" Demi said as she removed herself from the hug. She walked straight out of the studios not even looking back.

"More than you'll ever know"
