Prologue
"I'm missing something."
These were always the words circling in my thoughts, I told myself not to think about it however there's always a part of me that is looking for something, what is it that I'm always searching for? What is it that I am missing? What am I looking for?
On normal days I would just brush off the thought and continue with my daily activities, but today those thoughts specially bothered me and I don't know why. Still I manage to answer the test questions infront of me, I need to focus on my exam for if I fail this I will be doing remedials after class, and I can't afford to do that since I have a part time job, I also can't afford to loose a day's worth of salary since I need it to provide my daily needs because I am living independently.
"Time's up, pens down and pass your paper to Sebastian." My teacher said as I stood up and gathered the paper since I am the class monitor it is my duty to assist the teacher.
The day quickly passed by, I managed to pass my exams and now I'm done with my part time job.
"I'm missing something." Those thoughts once again crept up in my mind as I was walking on my way home. Again, what is it that I'm missing? There were lots of factors, I'm missing my parents maybe? I grew up alone and didn't have any memories of them, I was told that my parents died from an accident. Occasionally my guardian Barbara would visit to check up if I was doing well, but most of the time it was just me alone and I am used to it so maybe that's not what's bothering me.
There was also this gap in my memory from when I was 6 years old, Barbara told me that I suffered from memory loss from the accident which were also the reason why my parents passed away. But since I don't remember much about it I really couldn't care less, so maybe that's not it as well.
I was thinking of other factors that would lead to why I'm always feeling like I'm missing something that I didn't realize I was already home, what put me out of my trance was when I couldn't open my apartment door since it was locked, so I got my keys and unlocked it, entered my apartment and did my usual routine of eating my take out dinner, clean up a bit and went to bed turning in for the night.
Again another normal day for me, nothing special.
"Will things continue to be this way?" I asked myself as I drifted to sleep.
