Baltazar couldn't believe his eyes when he saw where Erin had been staying in the forest. It was in a cave, however the rocks and plants have molded and morphed into something convenient enough for a person to live in.

"I was a successful experiment" pain and anger were evident in Erin's voice as she continued to tell her story to Baltazar. "I was still a child when I have witnessed how the other orphans suffered from the failed experiments which eventually led them to their demise. I also thought that I would share the same fate, the experiments were tormenting and they tortured me non-stop, casting different spells, making me drink different potions, exposing my body to differet kinds of pain and temperature until finally it was a success, they manage to draw out a unique ability, a divination wherein I could manipulate nature by casting spells. However it wasn't enough, they continued their experiments until once again they manage to create my ability into something I could share and transfer to them." Erin paused and looked at Baltazar for any signs of digust from knowing all this information, however Baltazar just gave her a comforting smile encouraging her to continue her story and with that Erin continued.

"Those experiments continued for years but what they failed to see was that I am also human, I have emotions and I am capable of making my own decisions. As the years of experiments went by I could no longer stomach the torment so I started to revolt. Since I was the first successful experiment no one was able to stop me when I went berserk and thus I managed to escape with ease, however they continued to hunt me down so I decided to leave the grounds of the Diamond Kingdom, until my journey led me to this forest. Seeing as no one from the Diamond kingdom found me I decided to stay here as I harness the power that I accumulated from the experiments until finally I was able to master this power and had depended on it for survival thus creating this cave I'm living in." Erin paused for a brief moment then looked at Baltazar "Then I met you." She said as she smiled.

He admired her courage, he was astounded at how this frail beautiful woman have been through a lot but despite all that she was able to give him the warmest smile. "You know Erin, you're not the only one keeping secrets, I want to show you something so please meet me again tomorrow by the rivers." Although a bit uncertain, Erin nodded.

Erin couldn't believe her eyes from what she was seeing, the mountains, the sea, the kingdom and its lively people. Outside the corners of the Diamond kingdom's lab everything was magnificent, she can't helped but be astonished upon seeing the outside world for the first time and she thanked the Gods that she had lived to see the day, thinking that if she didn't escape from the Diamond kingdom would she have seen such wonders. Baltazar and Erin spent their day taking a tour around the Spade Kingdom until finally they arrived at their final destination.

"The castle? What are we doing here?" Erin asked confused as they stood by the castle gates. Then suddenly her mind led her into horror as she thought that maybe Baltazar is surrendering her to the Spade Kingdom and then she'll be deported back into the Diamond Kingdom. Seeing the terrified look in Erin's face, Baltazar realized what she was thinking.
"Hey relax, it's okay. You're safe with me I promise." Baltazar assured as he grabbed Erins shoulders and gave her an assuring look. "We're just here because I'd like to show you around the castle." Baltazar added.

Erin was wondering about how Baltazar could freely roam around the castle, is he a noble? She thought, but those question were brushed off for she can't help but be fascinated as she set her eyes upon the marvels of the castle, burrying each memory in her mind of the beautiful tapestries, the enormous halls, the colorful glass windows and other works of art inside the palace.

Now they are in a laboratory, however it was far different from the facility in the Diamond kingdom, this quarter was also used for sorcery however it was full of glasswear, books, herbs, stones and other specimens instead or orphans.
"This is my favorite part of the palace, innovations are formed here each day and I'm always looking forward to inventions that could make the lives of people easier." Baltazar said and Erin could see the flame in his eyes as he stated his desire for innovation and she can't help but be in awe of his desire. The facility was for making potions and other concoctions however you could see that the experiments would benefit the wellbeing of other people, unlike the lab in the Diamond kingdom where it rotted of desire for power.
