"Yeh baby aane ke baad mere liye tumhara pyar kam ho jayega Rohit" Sonakshi complained and folded her arms around her chest and looked away, just like a small child. She was in the seventh month of her pregnancy and her mood swings had increased quite dramatically.
Rohit sat down in front of her and stifled his laughter. He held her chin with his fingers and made her face him. "Nahi Sona... Apni drama queen ke liye mera pyar kabhi kam nahi hoga aur na hi kabhi ho sakta hai" he said as he placed a kiss on her lips that had by then formed a pout.
"Sacchi? Promise?" She asked, her eyes twinkling.
"Pakka promise" Rohit held her hands in his and brought them up to his face, planting a kiss on their intertwined fingers.
Sonakshi caressed the face of their 3-year old daughter, Kyara who slept on the chest of Rohit. Kyara's tiny hands and legs were wrapped around Rohit's frame and his hands were wrapped all around her waist, holding her into place. Their breaths mingled with each others as the both of them slept soundly, holding on to the other.
Sonakshi's eyes filled up with tears as she kept on looking at them. She placed a kiss on Kyara's cheek and pulled the blanket onto both of them, tears rolling down her eyes. She quickly wiped off her tears and laid down on the bed, forcing herself into a deep slumber.

As the sunlight of dawn shone on his face, Rohit woke up from his sleep and looked up at his chest, feeling a heavy weight. He caressed the face of Kyara and got up slowly, placing her gently on the bed. He placed a kiss on her forehead and pulled the blanket onto to her as she clutched it in her tiny fingers.
Rohit placed a palm on Sonakshi's cheek as he felt her lips form into a slight smile and immediately retracted his hand away. He felt a slight tug in his heart as he saw Sonakshi's smile fade away, adding a frown onto her face. He had no heart to leave her away but he knew he had to. Their relationship had hit the rocks quite a while ago and he knew it was difficult for the both of them to stay together all this while, for Kyara.
Rohit quickly got up from his place and rushed to the washroom to calm his nerves down. Their relationship was worsening day by day and he just couldn't see his Sonakshi suffer for something that she hadn't even done but he had no option than to just do that because he knew they wouldn't be able to ever go back to living their normal lives.

Sonakshi woke up, almost an hour later and saw Kyara sleeping next to her, cuddling onto her hand and her fingers in Sonakshi's hair. Sonakshi placed a palm on Kyara's cheek as she cuddled more onto her and turned around to check the time. It was almost 9 and Sonakshi had to be on the sets in another 2 hours. She softly called out to Kyara, who instead of waking up, hid her face in Sonakshi's chest.
"Just like Rohit" Sonakshi thought and felt her eyes water up. She brushed off her thoughts and used her usual technique to wake Kyara up. She started tickling Kyara till the poor baby woke up, laughing and hugged her to stop.
"Mumma more sleep" Kyara mumbled as she snuggled into Sonakshi hair.
"No baccha... Dekho mumma ko shoot par jana hai na" Sonakshi said, sitting up and holding Kyara in her arms.
"Mujhe bhi aana" Kyara mumbled as she sat down on Sonakshi's lap, completely woken up.
"Aaj nahi baccha... Aaj mumma ko kaafi kaam hai na kal pakka"
"No" Kyara held Sonakshi's hair into her hands.
"Kyara mumma gussa karengi ab... Mumma ki daant khani hai aapko?" Sonakshi said pulling Kyara away from her.
"No... Mumma no gussa" Kyara muttered and sat on the bed in front of Sonakshi.
"Aaj Kyara ko Veena dadi se bath lena padega" Sonakshi informed her
"Okay..." Kyara exclaimed with twinkling and ran off to Veena and Naren's bedroom. Getting a bath from her grandmother was very rare for Kyara and whenever she had a chance, she never missed it.
"Sambhal ke baccha" Sonakshi giggled looking at the stumbling Kyara and got up to call Veena to help her. Kyara had learned to walk quite a while ago but she still had some problem completely balancing just after standing up.
Sonakshi walked in the washroom after looking around the room. Rohit had already left for work, something which she was very used to but she felt hurt every time it happened. She just wanted for everything to get normal between them and them to have a conversation but Rohit never let it happen, however much she tried. She knew her faults and she'd just ever wanted to apologize but Rohit never let her and she knew it wasn't his fault either.

Sonakshi walked into the house to Rohit and Veena playing with Kyara, with her building blocks and she started admiring them from afar. Kyara looked up at her and held out her arms to her.
"Mumma pick up" Kyara exclaimed, calling Sonakshi up to her. Veena walked out just as she noticed Sonakshi, patting on her back. Rohit looked at Sonakshi and immediately turned his eyes away.
Sonakshi walked up to Kyara and picked her up as Kyara wrapped her arms around Sonakshi's neck. "Mumma see Kyala made house" Kyara mumbled, pointing towards the house that the three of them had made just before Sonakshi arrived.
"Wow... Papa ne help ki?" Sonakshi asked looking at Rohit who kept on looking at some corner in the room.
"Haan..." Kyara mumbled as she played with the pendant that was present in Sonakshi's neck.
"Kyara chalo baby late ho raha hai na lets sleep" Rohit called out to Kyara and stood in front of Sonakshi.
"Papa... Mumma" Kyara mumbled snuggling onto Sonakshi, keeping her head in the crook of Sonakshi's neck.
"Baccha mumma aa jayengi aap so jao" Sonakshi told Kyara as she passed her onto Rohit. Kyara wrapped her arms around Rohit's neck and put her right thumb in her mouth, still mumbling 'mumma'. She was extremely sleepy. Sonakshi opened her mouth to talk to Rohit but he immediately turned around, sleeping down on the bed with Kyara on his chest.
Sonakshi rushed to change into her night clothes and quickly crawled in beside Rohit, facing her back to him. His heavy breaths told her that he had fallen asleep.
"Tumne dinner kar liya Sonakshi?" Rohit asked her, holding Kyara into place.
"Haan... Tumne?" Sonakshi answered, her eyes twinkling but back still facing him. Some little things never change. Sonakshi always waited for him to ask this and that was the only time they had a conversation.
"Haan" Rohit mumbled, his eyes still wide awake and his hands twitching to hold Sonakshi in his arms again, but he held back, again.

How was it? This is my first try writing a complete short story on RoNakshi and I'm not sure how its gonna turn out but hope its good :). The next 2 chapters might be bit smaller and their past will come out soon. Taken this idea from a TV show but it'll be quite different from that. Also, the book cover will be changed soon :).
