Warnings: Kinda fluffy, cursing?
This is my first story so it probably sucks, but they will get better I promise.
*Y/N's POV*
I was of course, the last one to arrive at Pop's. When I walked in Archie, Betty, Veronica, and surprisingly Jughead were all sitting at our usual booth. The surprising thing wasn't that Jughead was here of course, it was that he showed up knowing I was coming. "Finally! You made it." Archie said as he saw me walking in.
"Yeah, sorry it took me so long. My mom made me do the dishes before I left."I replied, taking a seat next to him and Veronica.
"Oh it's fine, we've just been talking so you didn't miss much." Betty said, as she leaned into Jughead.
"I was just getting excited before you showed up." Jughead replied, giving me a glare from across the table.
"Well I wouldn't have shown up I had known you were gonna be here." I replied, returning the glare. I don't really know why me and Jughead despise each other, he's just hated me ever since I moved here, and sometimes it hurt. Seeing how happy he was sitting with everyone else till I came along, now he just attacks me whenever he gets the chance. It hurts even worse now that he's with Betty, I don't even know why, I've never had any feelings towards him at all. Yet.... Just seeing him with Betty is enough to make me want to scream.
"You good Y/N?" Veronica asked.
"Oh, yeah.... I'm fine.." I replied, finally falling out of my thoughts. Then Pop comes over and we all order our usual, having some slight conversation, and me and Jughead passed a few more annoyed comments.
When we all finished up, Archie and I started walking home together which we usually did since we're neighbors. "Hey, can I ask you something?" He asked.
"Sure Arch, what is it?" I said, stopping to listen.
"So, I totally understand if you don't want to but I've just had this on my mind forever and I really need to ask you." He said, "So.. umm... would you maybe wanna go out sometime..?" He asked, turning a very bright shade of red.
"Sure, why not." I replied
"Seriously!? Oh my god, that's amazing." Archie exclaimed, with a large grin spreading across his face.
"Of course. You might want to work on your asking out skills though, I don't think you'll want your face to match your hair every time you have to do that." I said jokingly while messing up his hair.
"Well, I'll see you tomorrow! Bye!" He said, happily trotting into his house.
"See ya! Byyyeeee!" I replied, laughing at his overly excited walk. I walked through my door, wondering why on earth I said yes to Archie. He's my best friend! I can't go out with him, that could completely destroy our friendship! Plus, I don't think I can date Archie until I figure out what my problem is with Jughead. But I can't just call Archie and turn him down, he was so excited about it.... I'll have to figure this out in the morning.
The second I hit my bed I fall asleep.
*The next morning*
I woke up to a text from Archie
Arch: Dinner and a movie at my place, round six?
Y/N: Sure, sounds good!
Maybe this date won't be too bad, I mean, it'll get my mind off of whatever's going on with Jughead, and who knows... maybe I'll like Archie.
