Warnings: Nothing really, just a probably fluufffy story
(Btw the timelines gonna be a bit funky in this one so sorry about that)

Moving is never fun. But after a while you get used to it. All the stares from people, and constantly being the new kid. I've learned not to make friends, or catch feelings. The second I get used to one town I'm dragged out of it and taken to a new one. It's not my fault, my mom just can't seem to find work anywhere. She finally found a job opening in a town called Riverdale.

I opened the car door, breathing in the fresh air. I love the fall air, the crunching of leaves beneath your feet, the color of all the trees. So odd how the death of leaves can bring so much beauty to the world..

I walk towards the house. It's basic. A normal tan color with a white door, although, it does look like it hasn't been cleaned in 1200 years. The windows are obviously super dirty and covered in cob webs. The lawn hasn't been cut in a while, and is covered in leaves from the giant oak tree in the front yard. The garden is covered in weeds and the porch in leaves. I take a few steps towards it following my mother.

She swings open the door, causing a wave of dust to come flying back at us. I start coughing and cover my face. We start to look around the house. I start by making a turn to the left, it's a small room, seeming for a study. I exit the room and go straight ahead from the front door. I enter a small tiled room, assuming it's the kitchen I head to the room connected to it. A small carpeted room. I believe it's a bedroom. There's dirt all over the carpet, it's rather disturbing actually. But luckily it'll give me something to do after school. I mean, am I supposed to make friends? I'm just going to get up and move the next day.

After a while me and my mom managed to clean up a bit and move all the boxes in, not that there were many...

It was getting late, and me and my mom were hungry but we had no food obviously. We decided to go to a diner, Pop's.

We got in the car and started towards where it's supposedly set.

When we arrived, we were welcomed into a rustic 70's looking diner. It was quite cute actually.

I followed my mother up to the counter, where a very sweet, innocent looking man greeted us.

He wasn't rather tall, but he did have such a gentle, happy look to him. It was like you could tell him anything and know he would keep it safe.

"Hi, can we please get two cheeseburgers please?" My mom asked.

"Coming right up." The man said with a smile.

"Well then let's take a seat Y/N" She said, giving me light taps on my back.

As I take a seat in a booth just next to the door, a group of four kids come walking in. One is seemingly wearing a waitress outfit.

It was a group of two boys, two girls. Possibly some couples, maybe they're just close friends. One boy was wearing a plain gray shirt and some dark blue jeans. The other a beanie, jeans, a jacket, and a plain shirt under that, with a flannel wrapped around his waist. The first girl had blonde hair, put perfectly in a ponytail, she was wearing a plain pink shirt with overalls atop that. The next girl was in the waitress outfit, her black hair was curled and she had what appeared as a pearl necklace on.

The all headed to a booth and sat down.

Not too long after they did, the raven haired girl walked over to the counter and started working. While she did that, the other three seemed, worried. As the sat down, talking, Pop brought over our food, I sat, eating, but still slightly investigating.
