*Albus Potter's house*

"Mum? Dad?" Albus asked, closing the kitchen door behind him. His mother was fetching bottles of champagne from the fridge.

"Albus?" Ginny turned to face her son, a concerned look on her face.
"What's the matter son?" Harry offered his supportive input.

They looked at the expression on Albus' face, one that Albus was sure was radiating fear and uncertainty.
"I..." Albus trailed off, not knowing where to start.

Ginny and Harry didn't say anything, and gave Albus a look that let him know to take his time.

Albus looked at his feet and started: "I really don't know how to say this, but here goes nothing. I know I was dating Melissa Gordon for a while... but I've faced some changes in my life lately.
I'm suddenly regretting my decision to tell you, but I've been trying to work up the courage for the past few months,
I'm sure this is part of why I wasn't
sorted into Gryffindor. But anyway..."
Albus took a breath, then continued.

"I'm bisexual, and I know that it might come as a surprise - considering I just recently discovered this about myself. I've tried to keep it quiet because I was scared of your reaction, and you know I was dating Melissa for a while, but now I've told you, so I guess that's it."

Albus finished his speech in a rush of words and looked up at his parents. They were laughing. "What -"

"Oh, Al", Ginny said, still chuckling to herself. "Don't be silly. Your father and I are accepting of people who are part of the LGBT+ community."

"Your mother's right. You know we love you know matter what. And we'll always be here to support you" Harry said.

Ginny continued: "So... who's the bloke that made you realize you weren't straight?"

"Well, that's the thing Mum... I'm dating Scorpius Malfoy."

Ginny's eyebrows shot up. "How did that come about?"

"It's a long story involving bullying, kicking certain students off the Slytherin Quidditch team, breaking up with Melissa and having said Slytherin Quidditch team members expelled."

"I see. Well, I'm glad you did the right thing, I'm sorry about Melissa, and in the end what matters to your mother and I are your happiness and well-being." Harry said.
