A Rainy Night

The silence is unsettling
Her gaze held else where

Tears welling in her ocean eyes
And a small hard line formed
On her lips
Her hands limping at her sides
And her knees slightly shaking
she is about to fall
The weight of it all
Pushing her down
Shes trying to stay strong
Her long tangled blonde hair
Slightly ruffled by a playful wind
A tear escapes from her eye
But she doesnt notice
It slides down her face
Leaving a noticeable tear track
It falls to the ground and she wipes her face with one hand quickly
Her gaze dropping down
More tears are flowing now
She sobs hysterically
Yelling out
"I don't want to live.!"
Over and over
Shes in the middle of a vacant park
In the middle of the night
Its pitch black
No one sees her
No one hears her
She secretly begs for a saviour to come out
But at the same time she has convinced herself she doesn't want a saviour
Her best friend gone
Her mother believes her to be a liar
Her father abusive
And her siblings so innocent yet so scarred
As she sinks to her knees
Her head in her hands
Hysterically sobbing
It rains
And rains
Shes drenched
Walking along the side of the road
Clutching her elbows
And shivering
And her tears joining with the rain
A few cars go by
But not one stops
She screams to the sky
"No one cares anymore!"
Rain hitting her face straight on
She sits in the middle of the road
And stares into space
Hoping a car runs her over
She reviews her life
Crosses her legs
And waits
But as the sun begins to rise
No cars came
She stands and sighs
Running home
Ready to give an excuse
Of why she is drenched
And ready to try and get through
Another day of misery.
