So, I'm a little bit sick of Deet and Rian's relationship at the moment so I'm ditching the set perspectives. The story will just go to who ever it fits the most. Also thank you for all the love it's really boosting :D

The clang of swords echoed through the clearing as Rian stumbled backwards.
"You aren't all that bad!" He called, rocking on his feet.
"You expected me to be?" Lira replied. She let him regain his balance, swinging her two flaming red braids over her shoulder.
Rian readied his sword. Lira raised an eyebrow.
"Go easy on me." She said sarcastically. Rian smiled at her teasingly.
"Of course. But only because you're a girl." Lira scoffed.
"You're on!" She charged at him, her slim blade moving so fast it was merely a flash of silver. The Sifa was clearly well trained, possibly nearly as much as Tavra had been.
"Lira! Lira!" He cried. She spun her sword in her hand, swung her foot against his knee, and shoved him to the ground. The sharpened tip of her sword was pointed at his neck, gleaming in the sun.
"Fine. You win." Lira smiled and lowered her sword.
"You'll learn." She helped him climb to his feet.
"Where did you learn?!" The smile only grew on Lira's stunning face.
"Want to see something?" She asked, raising her sword. Her eyes began to gleam, the veins on her face turning a matching purple.
"Lira stop! It's dangerous!" He cried, reaching for her.
"Maybe for the Grottan, but not for me." The purple reached the veins on her hands. "I am trained." A strange violet current began to circle the blade rapidly.
"What are you-" Lira grabbed his hand and pulled him behind her, and swung downwards.
As the blade hit the floor, a magnificent current of purple crackling across the floor like lighting, the grass grey and dull left in its path.
Lira's face returned to its normal colour quickly as it had changed.
She smiled at Rian. "Scaredy Fizzgig." Rian shoved her playfully, grinning back.
Kylan emerged from the dense trees, panting slightly.
"Deet is about to start her, uh... training." He told Rian.
The three Gelfling hurried back to the campsite, where Deet and Kur stood. Rian's eyes momentarily moved to the Vapra's hand on Deet's waist, his other on her arm, setting her correctly.
"Kylan!" Naia beckoned the Spriton boy over, leaving Rian and Lira alone.
"You're best not to disturb her while she's using... it." Lira murmured, surprisingly close to him.
"I'm watching her from here." He replied. Lira raised her eyebrows and walked over to Brea, who she had become surprisingly close with now.
A sudden bolt of purple energy shot from Deet's open palms. Kur said something gently to her, lowering her arm ever so slightly. Another flash of light singed the hay stack they were practicing on, closer to the centre this time.
She turned to Rian and grinned, her face dimming back to green.
"Next time you eat my soup, that'll be you." She told him. Rian grinned at her.
"I'll have to restrain myself." He replied, holding up his hands as if surrendering.
"So... you're training to kill?" Brea asked. Although the Vapra had lightened ever so slightly since her and Naia had... made up, she was still not over everything.
"Not Gelfling. Not anything. We are training to save Thra." Imri said, looking up from her book.
"So why does she need to learn how to shoot beams of death from her hands?" Brea pushed stubbornly. Imri rolled her indigo blue eyes.
"So they don't come out at the worst time ever and cut someone into pieces." The Dousan finished arrogantly. "Unless you want that?"
A small chuckle escaped Kylan's mouth from across the fire. Brea turned to him, an indescribable look on her face.
"Brea..." Naia's hand flew to her shoulder.
Gurjin glanced at Rian, grinning and nodding his head. Brea looked between them.
"We need to talk. Naia." She stood up, eyes still fixed on the two boys.

They walked away from the camp, into the woods. Brea made sure to go out of earshot.
"I know what's happening." She said flatly.
Naia's ears twitched. "What on Thra do you mean?"
Brea snorted. "I'm not an idiot, Naia. I know it's all just... an act."
The Drenchen's face immediately grew stormy.
"It's not an act! I swear! I really do love you, Brea!" Naia insisted. "I don't know what you heard, or what you saw, but it's all in Gurjin's head! Everything has to be for a use, and clearly-"
"Clearly, what, Naia? This... whole thing has no use?!" Brea was shouting now.
"Of course not! I love you, why can't you see? You have not once said it back to me!" Naia fumed.
"Didn't I manoeuvre this whole 'get back together' thing? Would I have done that if I didn't love you?!" Brea snapped.
"Well, I think it's clear you love someone more than me." Naia's voice dropped ten levels in noise.
"What?" Naia shook her head, laughing angrily.
"I am sick to death of being second to him! Why can't you just see that he loves Deet, and he will always love Deet! I'm right here, watching you stare at him across the fire every night, while he stares at Deet! For Thra's sake, just let that poor girl enjoy something for once! You have to spoil everything for her! For everyone!" Naia yelled, stamping her foot. Brea's jaw set.
"Well." She muttered. "I guess I am the villain." She opened her silvery wings and lifted off the ground, fighting back tears.
