Brian POV

Relief! That was all I could feel as I took my first steps off their territory. It felt like someone had removed a boulder from my shoulders. As my mate transformed into his wolf form, I felt a surge of unfamiliar emotions when I looked back at him.

I was afraid to give it a name, but I knew it felt amazing.

The vast land before me filled me with hope and longing. I vowed to cherish my mate and to be kind to all I meet.

"Let's go," Pink says as he puts Red on his back. Nodding my head, I morph as well into my wolf form. Slowing down, we begin to run through the woods.

We could travel as fast as I wanted because of the pregnancy and Red. Pink had let me know he left to the members of his pack near here. The plan was to find them and get their help and head back to the Pride Pack.

It was safe for us to travel alone. I was of no use pregnant, and Red was with us. If attackers came at us, our only defense was pink, and I could use the power that I had accepted.

Like the Firefly curse, I've come to accept it as a blessing in disguise, like my mate!

Pinks POV

Looking over at my mate, I couldn't help but shower him with praise; it was all because of him that we were both free. I wanted to put my life on the line.

I can't believe how foolish I was; all those years of hatred and stupidity clouded my judgment. i almost lost a treasure. He was special; not only was he strong and sexy. He was also smart.

According to him, anyone who finds their mate in the firefly pack can use their pack's special ability. A full moon gives them the power to cause immense pain to one nearby person.

Once we reconnected, he gained access to Firefly; we had to wait until the moon was full to hit the rogue king. Once he was overcome with pain. i would attack fast and hit him where it hurt most. The thought of ripping off his cock put a smile on my face.

As we moved away from the rogue's nest, he looked to the future. He wanted to make a family with his mate and pup!

Third-person POV

As Anel and his group approached, he could smell them in the air. He was giving chase to Pink and Brain.

"What the fuck," Brian cried as he saw a small group of wolves encircling them. He wanted to cry as all his hopes and dreams of freedom seemed to be crashing down.

Pink says, "What do you fuckers want?" as they surround him. I defeated your leader, and a deal is a deal!"

"You're right," Anel says as he comes out from among the wolves.

"You left with something that was not yours," he says and looks at Pink.

Right away, Brain screams, "No." They had come under the king's orders. "The deal was for you and your mate; the pup you both took has to come back with us," he ordered.

Pink knew he could not give up Red. He was not familiar with the kid, but he saw how much his mate loved the little guy. After hurting his mate once, he would never do anything to cause pain. If it meant fighting and dying, then so be it!

"Get down, little guy," he told Red. Pink's voice trembles as she whispers, "Don't let them take him away."

Smiling back at his mate, he says, "i Know." getting the reassurance that Pink wasn't going to hand over Red, his brain calms down and tries to hold the clam. He knew he could fight, but he could open up a path for them if he could get a chance to use firefly!

"Don't be stupid, both of you. Hand over the kid and leave. I don't want to fight or harm either of you, but I must follow orders," he lets them know.

Honestly, if Anel wanted the kid not to leave, he could have prevented it while they were in the pack.

He thought no one would notice because the king had been wounded.

But he was wrong; he should've known.

Simon had hated Pink for some reason. He was one of the king's many children. After he reported that they had left with the pup, he ordered us to chase them and return with the pup, dead or alive.

I knew the King had no use for the kids; he wanted to cause them pain to attack them in the only way he could!

"Hand over the mutt or we'll take him by force," Simon warned, stepping from the crowd. His look at Brian radiated so much hatred and disgust that you could feel it!

"We're not giving up, Red!" Pinks let them know as he stood in front of his mate and Red.

"You're dumb; are you ready to give up your mate and pup for that mutt, to destroy the family you fought for?" Simon reminds him.

But instead of being angry, he looks back at Brian and Red and says, "He's a part of my family."

"Very well! Take them," Simon gives the orders as the rogues around him rush to attack Pink, Brian, and Red. Closing his eyes, Anel averted his gaze as he didn't want to witness what is about to come!

I will be rewriting and doing grammatical corrections, to all my stories.
