»a long, long time ago my great, great, great, great grandfather took something that did not belong to him. and that is why today i have an eagle in my veins, i am part native american«

"Bet you ten pounds I could beat you." Nicholas said to Mimiteh, known to others as Louise but to Nick she was his Mimi. He turned his gaze from the tall, thin tree to the girl beside him.
"What are pounds?" She asked, confusion etched onto her Native American features. Nick couldn't help but let out a small chuckle.
"Er, well you know the money here are dollars?" She nodded slowly. "In England, and the rest of Great Britain, the currency there are pounds."
"Is it likely that I'm going to have a 'pound'?" Mimi inquired with an eyebrow raised as she folded her arms across her chest.
Nick's smirk quickly turned into a smirk. "I guess a kiss would have to settle then." Mimi's mouth went slack for a moment but Nicholas ignored it. "Right, first one to the top of the tree wins. What do you want for the prize?"
"Maybe just the satisfaction of winning?" She asked rhetorically with an unfamiliar tone of sarcasm as her arms unfolded to hold her arms out in question.
"Is that how they did it back when you used sticks to fight?" He retorted with a sassy jerk of his head. "Anyway, no cheating. No werewolf abilities."
"What?" Mimiteh screeched. Nick rose and eyebrow at her and she rolled her eyes just like he did (he was such a bad influence). "Ugh. Fine."
The two positioned themselves by either side of the tree just as Nicholas was counting.
"Okay, one, two, three--"
"Go!" Cried out Mimi, running up the tree.
"I said no cheating!"
"Oh, come on, you baby gazelle." Mimi called down, now at least five branches ahead of Nick. "Or the lion will get you. Or maybe...the wolf." She sneered, looking down at the struggling Nick.
"I...will...win," he panted, almost unable to find any footholds. Fortunately, he had reached the branches part of the tree and started pulling himself up the tree quicker, slowly but gradually catching up to his Mimi.
When he was caught up with Mimi, he noticed she was slowing down until she came to a full stop.
"Why have you stopped?" His voice was strained but he was determined to win a kiss and he did not care about how he sounded (although in all honesty he always sounds great).
Mimi was humming something, not replying for a few moments. "Oh, I'm just enjoying the view."
Nick didn't know what she meant until he turned to look down at Mimi and he saw that she was looking at his ass.
Now, he could've whined but instead he countered the Native. "That's fine, I could say the same thing." It was her turn to be confused. She didn't catch on as quickly as Nicholas did to her remark. Mimiteh started climbing again, her brow still furrowed as she thought of all the possible things that Nicholas could've meant (she just thought of all the sexual innuendos that Nick had spoken--again, Nick was a terribly bad influence on the girl).
Then it hit her.
"Oh! Oh! I get it!" She exclaimed, happiness on her face braise she finally figured it out. But then that look soon turned sour as she realised that Nicholas was staring down her top. "Nick!" He simply laughed in response.

"What did the magic thing say?"
"My mobile phone didn't say anything. The fire service said that it was stupid that a couple of kids would climb a tree and get stuck in it." Nicholas groaned.
