Alone, Manipulated, and Abused

Part four- Lies for attention, lies, and more lies.

A lot of people lie. It's either to protect others from the truth because the truth may hurt them, or it's because they'd rather not speak the truth because even they cannot handle it. But in Elijah and Frankie's case, Frankie lied because he is a manipulative, abusive liar. Always has been, probably always will be. He has lied to Elijah multiple times throughout their short lived relationship and even past the end of it. He has lied to his other ex Logan as well, and probably has lied to many of his friends before because he simply is just a liar.

The beginning stages of the relationship, Frankie would get drunk a lot as mentioned in a previous part, and lie to Elijah about his emotions about him and his feelings. Frankie was good at hiding when he was drunk so Elijah always had taken what Frankie said while drunk very seriously because he didn't know Frankie was off his rocker. This ultimately led to Elijah not being able to trust Frankie at all but he tried his best to recognize when Frankie wasn't drunk and when he was. Later down the road in Elijah's personal life outside of all this tomfoolery, he cannot trust people when they are drunk or high and prefers not to talk to others when they are in this alternate state of mind because of how bad Frankie got at lying when he was drunk or high.

Along with drunken lies, Frankie had also lied about many serious things in the beginning stages of the relationship that Elijah later found out was false information down the road. Frankie had claimed he had a daughter which was a result of a rape, but it was proven to be a lie because there was no proof of that child Frankie claimed as his was actually his, it could have been a relative at best but Frankie did NOT have a child after all. He also had lied about having a different mother than the one he has now, but in reality he has had the same mother his entire life and has never been adopted or fostered by another person. This was proven by being on Frankie's mother's social media profile and going deep into the photos that she had shared and Elijah had spotted Frankie as a baby in those photos.

One of the most disgusting and serious lies that Frankie had ever told was him having cancer. There was no proof of him having cancer at all, and it was most likely a manipulative tactic so that Elijah would feel bad for him and end up staying even longer than he had stayed.

Another serious lie was about having multiple mental illnesses and faking panic attacks in order to gain attention and manipulate Elijah and others even further. There was no solid proof that Frankie had multiple mental illnesses besides depression and mild anxiety. He claimed to have had schizophrenia, ADHD, and bipolar disorder but did not show any clear signs of having such mental disorders. Schizos tend to act abnormally and Frankie did not, he did not show any signs at all of having such a mental disorder. He never showed true signs of having ADHD as well nor bipolar disorder, even though sometimes he did act like he did have it, but yet again it could have just been for attention and a manipulative tactic to get Elijah and others to stay and an excuse for his behavior. A lot of times, Frankie would claim he was having a panic attack and that he was throwing up because of how anxious he was, but minutes later he would be okay and would be completely fine like nothing had ever happened. Many people who have experienced what Frankie was and is like have realized these are tactics he has used for attention and he is not having panic attacks because anxiety does not give you a 2 second panic attack and lets you be fine for the rest of the day or night. Panic attacks are very serious and can even disable you from being mentally fine the entire rest of the day. He had no such events and usually if someone throws up, they tend to be gone for a long period of time because they are in the toilet, but Frankie would end up coming back within 1 minute or less of claiming he was throwing up.

Frankie lied a lot to gain attention. He wanted to gain attention because he wanted to feel cared for and loved even though there could have been many other ways to get that love and care that he so desperately seeked. He was an attention seeker, he wanted everything and everybody to pay attention to him and feel bad for him so what did he do? Lie. Multiple times and to multiple people.
