When Elijah was broken up with for the third or fourth time, he had begun seeing a person named David. David was later figured out to be a catfish as previously mentioned, but that is besides the point. Elijah had frequently gone back to David on multiple occasions when Frankie would end up ghosting him or breaking up with him for various reasons, doing the normal narcissistic abuse pattern that he was doing the entire relationship. It was clear that Elijah was attached to David, and Frankie could see that.

Frankie had a habit of either making sure that Elijah's new partners knew that he hated them or that there would be nobody else for Elijah except for him. Frankie fought hard for Elijah because he knew if he lost him, he wouldn't have anyone as vulnerable as Elijah was to abuse and manipulate any longer. But with David, things were different. Even though it was clear how attached Elijah was becoming towards David, Frankie wanted some of that too because of how attracted he was to getting younger trans men to fall for him. David claimed to be a young boy, identifying as gender fluid at the time. Frankie ended up talking to David a lot because of how he didn't want David getting in the way of what he had with Elijah, but also began flirting with him behind the scenes as well on occasion.

Frankie ended up weaseling his way into David's life and becoming a romantic interest of his, and before Elijah knew it, Frankie was confessing his feelings for David and admitted they ended up getting together. Elijah was heartbroken, Frankie ended up stealing the only stable relationship he had out from under him. He had nothing and it was all because of Frankie. They all ended up fighting some, because of how Elijah was so furious and heartbroken that Frankie had the nerve to just snatch something good out of his life like that. This fight ended up not making the relationship with David and Frankie last long, because David didn't want to get into something as chaotic as what Frankie and Elijah had.

As a relationship progressed with David and Elijah though, so did Frankie's manipulative ways. He would come back into Elijah's life frequently when he was just getting happy with David, and would manipulate Elijah to going back with him so that he could continue doing what he was doing. David ended up getting quite exhausted of all the times that Elijah had broken up with him to the point where if Elijah wanted to come back as a partner, he would have to beg pretty hard in order for David to give in and get them back into a normal relationship. The only time that Elijah and David ever had a normal relationship without interruptions was when Elijah finally got the courage and ended things with Frankie once and for all.

Yet, even when Elijah officially ended the relationship, there was still talk about Frankie and Elijah's relationship. Frankie would talk to Elijah on the daily, complaining about how much he missed him and how broken he was without him. He would share pictures of his fresh self-harm cuts, him crying, and him destroying himself because of how bad he was without Elijah. He tried his hardest to gain Elijah back into his life, but the manipulative ways didn't work anymore because Elijah got smarter and didn't want to continue a relationship that would have made him more insane than he already was with all the abuse he had taken in the last couple of months. Of course, Elijah felt bad and did still have some feelings left over for Frankie, but he knew better than to act on them and didn't want to hurt David again. This continued on even past Frankie meeting Logan and moving on ever so slightly, he would complain and argue with Elijah so much about how he shouldn't have ended things and that he was there first, David shouldn't have won Elijah over.

Besides the slight love triangle between David, Frankie, and Elijah, there were other love triangles as well. David and Elijah didn't last long because of complicated reasons and the fact that he turned out to be a catfish in the end. After the relationship ended between Elijah and Daniel, Elijah realized he wanted Frankie back despite all the abuse he had encountered in the previous months. Although Frankie had spent weeks manipulating Elijah back into his life with no luck, Frankie denied Elijah each and every time he tried winning him back because of how he had moved on with Logan and "needed something better". Elijah even got so angry sometimes that he made Logan into his enemy because he was keeping Elijah from winning Frankie over.
