Chapter nine

Pidge's P.O.V

I wake up with a small headache, getting out of bed rubbing the back of my head. 'What a strange dream' walking out of my bedroom with my short sleeve shirt and sweatpants on. I feel something weird on my left on so I just rub it and it goes away.
I walk into the kitchen to get something to wake me up. When I walk in I notice Hunk making some new food goo recipe, and Lance at the counter drinking something. Probably water. "Morning," I say in a sleepy voice. Lance looks over with a tired face as well. "Morning Pi-, WHAT THE QUIZNACK!" He yells. I look at him in confusion. "What," Hunk says turning around with a spoon in his hand. As soon as he sees me he drops the spoon. "What, do I look that bad," I question. They both shake their heads while hunk points at my left arm. I look at it to see it glowing a bright green. When I touch it with my hand I feel a strange connection and can feel and see everything in the castle and outside. Then I start thinking about Nature. My green lion with her grass green eyes. So peaceful you could get lost in them. And just like that I'm lost in my thoughts till an overwhelming burn spreads through my body causing me to groan and double over in pain and sink to my knees. I hear someone calling my name then someone else's name. But I can't tell. They sound like they're miles away in a canyon. Then suddenly I hear a snap, and an extreme pain in my back.

Hunk's P.O.V.

Pidge had been standing there spaced out while touching her green glowing claw mark on her arm. Then all of a sudden she clutches her stomach and bends over then quickly sinking to the ground. I quickly stop what I was doing and run over to her. "Pidge! Pidge what happening!" I yell with concern in my voice. "Lance go get some help," he nods but before he leaves, we both hear a snap, we both look at Pidge, who's back now looks deformed. Her back just broke. We both stare at her in horror till we hear another snap and she jerks out her right leg. Followed by a blood curling scream. "Go get help Lance!" I yell while holding her carefully. That when she whispers something out. "Get. My. Metal. Arm. And. Leg. Off. Of. Me." She says panting between each word. Not wanting to question my friend, I quickly start to work on her arm, that was until Allura Coran Keith Lance and Shiro came rushing in. "Someone get her metal leg off quickly and carefully," I say. Shiro comes rushing forward and starts taking the leg off. When I finish taking her arm off, we hear yet another crack, then she falls. Her left arm just broke. Everyone staring in pure horror except for Shiro who is almost getting her leg off. When she finally gets it off her lion comes rushing in and starts licking her face in a calming manner. Shiro and I grab the metal body parts and slowly back away while watching. Then I notice something strange with Nature. She's fading into like a light that is going into Pidge's scar. I can't blink nor look away. I don't think the others can either. Then her neck jerks and we hear a loud crack. "She. She just broke her neck," I say before she collapses to the ground. Shiro tries to grab her but is growled at by all the lions who are now in the room. Suddenly Pidge starts moving again. But her leg is moving into a different shape and so is her arm. Then when she looks up her face doesn't look the same as she bares her teeth I see pearl white fangs. I look away and when I look back down I see a small lion, with a ginger color and green eyes. The fur inside it's ears are a like green along with the small fur part on the end of its tail. "What just happened," Keith says. "I think Pidge just became a lion," Shiro says. Oh god.
