Chapter 9

Previously: "I'm afraid that our night has only begun..."

Colby's POV:

I looked worriedly at Vera when I realized that she was serious.

"Look you guys technically got us into this, we deserve some answers don't you think?" I said

".. I... I can't..." Vera said and she seemed afraid.

Corey stepped foward and I could see he was about to lose it, "Ya'll are out of your fucking minds, we just witnessed Vera getting possed and some paranormal ass shit, if yall don't start talking I'm out..."

"Corey we came in one car." Jake said trying to brighten the mood, but it made it worse.

"Like I fucking care, I'll take an Uber or run home if I have to but we are walking in the dark right now and these two girls are the ones leading...."

Sam stepped forward and weirdly enough agreed with Corey, "Look, realistically we don't know you guys at all, we met what 2 hours ago and you expect us to trust you, I really believe that you guys are good genuine people, but right now this is life and death, if you expect us to stay we deserve the truth..."

Vera's POV:

Sam, Corey and Jake looked at me like I was the monster, like they feared me or something while Colby... he looked at me with eyes of acceptance and comfort even tho he's life was most likely in danger because of me...

"That's the thing Sam... " I tried not to get worked up," I don't expect you guys to stay... I told you to leave, the sooner the better, this demo.... THING, whatever it is, is after you guys now to, so get out while you still can..."

Colby looked at me once again but this time I saw pain in his eyes...

"But if we are involved in this, that's all the more reason why we sould stay!" Sam said

"I actually agree, I mean, we are here and so is IT, might as well find out what it wants..." Jake said

I looked at Claire trying to indicate that I don't know what to say, she frowned at first but then I could tell she got the hint.

"Okay then stay," Claire said bluntly... I looked at her confused...

"We will tell you as much as we can okay, but you have to realize that it's not going to include a whole life story, some of its is really personal. You'll basically get the summed up minimal detailed backstory..." she said confidently

"Okay... Uhm so are you going to tell us...?" Sam said confused.

Claire motioned for the group to take a seat, "V... since its your story, do you want to tell it? I can do it for you but only if your comfortable with it."

I gave Claire a weak smile then looked at the 4 curious boys sitting next to each other on the bed across from me...

"It all started when Me, Claire and Blake came here back in March 2019..."
