Hello! This isn't the project I'm working on right now, but ideas pop into my head, so here we go...

What were the circumstances leading up to Callie's kidnapping? What was it like? That's what I've decided to imagine.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

'Finally, a break. And I get to go home and see Marie again!' Callie thought.

Hoisting her bag over her shoulder, she began to walk towards their apartment, but stopped in the middle of Inkopolis Plaza. She walked up to the old studio. Abandoned, with a single Squid Sisters hoodie laying on the floor. Marie's hoodie... she must've left it here when they split. She put her hand up against the glass, and she felt tears well up in her eyes.

She went down to a bench on the edge of the plaza, and she could hear the lonely echoes of City of Color. The trucks, the lights... everything was gone. Including Marie.

She desperately began to wish for them to be reunited again... maybe she'd suprise Marie and come on the last train of the night. She had to hurry, because the train was going to leave in 5 minutes.

Running quickly, she stumbled to the front of the train station, but was met with the sight of the final train of the night slowly pulling away. She was too late.

'It's alright, I'll just wake up first thing in the morning to take the train,' she tried to reassure herself.

She dug in her bag for her keys, but was met with nothing inside. She must've grabbed one of the stage bags from the studio on accident... too bad it's closed now.

She decided to go visit Gramps for the night, but when she popped up in Octo Valley, he wasn't there. Everyone was gone...

She sat against Cuttlefish Cabin and began to cry. Everything was so much better when Marie was around... she enjoyed her job then. She missed joking with her, she missed waving to Agent 3 whenever she'd mess around and knock on the window. The songs, the lights... they were stars. She may be an even brighter star now, but stars all explode eventually.

"Could you not? I'm trying to sleep here," a voice grumbles.

Makeup running down her face, Callie looks around. Octavio, sitting in a snow globe, as he should be. Why would he obey?

"Ah. Agent 1. Sometimes some random kid comes down here and cries.. hmph. Just shut up," he grumbles.

His eyes widen and he has a smile on his face.

"Hey. Aren't you in some stupid band? I thought you'd be in the studio," he says.

"That'- That's the issue! Marie and I haven't been able to talk for so long... I tried to suprise her by going back home early, but the final train had alread- already left, so I tried to go back to our apartment- bu- but I'm locked out! I ju- just want Marie back by my side!" she sobs.

"I could do that for you," he says.

She looks at him and raises an eyebrow.

"Ok, I'll hear you out," she says.

"Hm. It may not be the prettiest solution, but I have an army. Specifically, an army of Octolings. We could fake Marie's death and blame it on the Octolings who made it to the surface after hearing that stupid song of yours. You could spend as long as you wanted with Marie, and then, once the Octolings who made it to the sruface are arrested, we can send waves over Inkopolis that will make everyone forget about Marie's death. You'd have time with her, and then she'd be completely free to go back to her life. I get out of this snowglobe and get those traitors punished, you get to see Marie. It's a win-win, now, isn't it?" he says.
