Chapter 17: Gone

Alex POV

"Alex, he will come back," Leah rubbed my arm.

I nodded and pushed my hair over my head.

Leah set hot chocolate on the table next to me and pressed play on the movie.

It's been three horribly long and lonely days. and every hour, no every minute he is gone, I break more.

It was like the incident before, except he left without words. without a goodbye.

My cheeks were stained with tears and my head was constantly pounding.

I sipped the hot chocolate, burning my tongue but not minding. pain was everything I ever felt anymore.

I got the shivers and Leah scooted closer.

I looked out the window, it was pitch black. but I still know there's at least a couple wolves watching. Watching for what? I have no clue.

Everyone's been on their toes, a wolf is always with me. I learned that I can get along well with quill, his imprint was just a small child.

But seeing everyone together, just broke me even more. all the imprints greeting one another with kisses and hugs. I missed Seth so much.

I don't know why he left, what made him so angry. was it me?

Sam called a pack meeting, and asked me to join too.

"It's over, this conflict is through," Sam said in his alpha voice.

Confusion took over my mind.

"What was the conflict?" I asked.

Everyone exchanged looks, and Leah put an arm around my shoulders.

"Alex, no one is going to tell you without an okay from Seth," embry said from across the circle.

I felt my shoulders sink at the mention of his name.

He's gone now.

We all filed out, everyone joking with each other. Sam stopped me, making me look up from my feet.

"We found him," he took me off guard.

"What? Where is he? Is he okay?" i asked my questions.

"Alex, he thinks he let you down, he refused to come back with us."

"What?" I was completely shocked.

My chest started to tighten.

"I'm sorry," Sam said.

"It's okay, thanks," my voice was monotone.

I walked back to the Clearwater house numb.

My head was spinning.

Did he not want me anymore?
