Nikolai waited patiently in a bus...well his third bus, he found out that the place where Vale's fighters trains somewhere farther than the last gym making him take the bus. He then felt the bus stop at the location causing him to swiftly leave the bus, Nikolai then went to the front of the building opening the door. He then went to the front desk where the receptionist was at.
Nikolai: "Excuse me"
Receptionist: "Hello sir how may I help you?"
Nikolai: "I'm looking for the gym, some blond woman gave me an address here"
Receptionist: "Oh you must be talking about Yang she told me you'll be coming, the gym will be on the left then go straight"
Nikolai: "Thank you"
Nikolai heard grunts and booms of the heavy bag being hit, he then entered the double doors to see a very large gym. He walked to see different fighters with different styles, even a person who used Wushu. Nikolai walked around looking for an area to train, he then saw something he wouldn't expect in an MMA gym: a Makiwara in the corner of the gym.

In fact the entire corner seemed to be for Karate training seeing the equipment. Nikolai felt his knuckles, he hasn't conditioned them in a while and thought he had to catch up with conditioning. Nikolai set his bag next to him and started striking the makiwara, he felt his knuckles make contact on the rough rope. His knuckles started to numb after a few minutes as he stuck the training equipment.
???: "I didn't expect anyone to use the makiwara"
Nikolai stopped to see a woman with black hair and cat ears.
Nikolai: "I use Karate as one of my styles, I didn't have a chance to condition my knuckles in a while"
???: "This corner is actually a personal gym I made myself"
Nikolai: "Forgive me, I didn't know it was your spot"
???: "No it's fine, in fact I'm glad there's someone who practice Karate in this gym apart from me"
Nikolai: "I just finished conditioning, if you want to use it then that's fine"
Nikolai decided to warm himself up doing kata while the mystery girl used the Makiwara, Yang then came in to see Nikolai practicing Kata.
Yang: "I didn't know you practiced Karate..."
Nikolai didn't stop but answered Yang's question.
Nikolai: "My father taught me everything I know"
Yang: "...I see that you met Blake, she's also practicing Karate"
Nikolai: "Yes, she told me"
???: "Another Karate practitioner?"
Yang turned to see another blonde and a girl with brown hair with bunny ears.
Yang: "Velvet, Jaune this is Nikolai. He's going to start being a new competitor for Vale's national fighters"
