Hoseok clutched the brochure in his hands, staring up at the scenery. Towering buildings stalked over him, engulfing him in large shadows. The boy kept his pace, reading a large sign that read 'Park's Korean Barbecue'.
Hoseok grinned. "Is that it?" He let out a small huff. "I mean, I hope so.."
The boy walked inside, swiping away his fragile bangs to take a good look. It was a majestic restaurant, having a black and crimson-red theme. It was empty, apart from a waiter sitting at a desk.
The waiter had bleached hair, laid back in a smooth mullet. The waiter smiled, showing deep dimples on his cheeks. He wore a black suit with a tie tied in front. "Welcome."
Hoseok gave him a soft smile back. "Heyo. I'm here to interview for a job because of your brochures." He waved the brochure at the waiter, placing it on the desk.
"Ah, no need to give me that. Keep it." The waiter gave him another grin as Hoseok placed the brochure into his back pocket. "Anyways, nice to meet you. I'm Namjoon and I'll be taking you to meet the manager."
Hoseok bowed. "Mianhae."
Namjoon nodded, sitting up from his seat. "Follow me to the manager's office, uh.."
"Hoseok, but call me Hobi," the other responded, following after Namjoon.
"Follow me then, Hobi."
The office was placed in the far back of the restaurant, blocked off with a sign that read "Employees Only". The door was a sterile marble, tiny cracks scattered across it. The handle was a slick grey metal, one large, deep crack on the side of it.
Namjoon showed another smile, yet it was sprawled out in a fake manner. "W-We're getting that crack fixed, don't worry."
Hoseok shrugged, glancing back at the younger. "It's alright."
Namjoon suddenly stepped forward, gently pushing the other boy to the side. "Mr. Park, Hoseok is here for an interview." He then pulled on the handle, opening the marble door to reveal a young man, younger than both Hoseok and Namjoon, with his eyes fixated on a colorful Rubix cube. The man, instead, wore a polished, ash-grey suit with fossil-grey hair and full, red lips. He also wore glasses on the bridge of his nose, tucked neatly behind small ears. The man looked at the others, his eyes lighting up.
"Hi, Mr. Jung."
Hoseok reluctantly stepped inside, leaving Namjoon to gently shut the door. "Annyeong, Mr. Park."
Mr. Park smirked. "Call me Jimin, please."
Hobi grinned. "Okay, Jimin."
"Sit down." Hoseok walked to the leather seat, carefully sitting down. "Do you need water? Tea?"
Hoseok shook his head. "No, I'm alright."
"You sure?" Jimin responded, raising his eyebrows.
"Of course."
Jimin smirked, his eyes glittering. "So... why do you need this job, Hoseok?"
"Er.." Hoseok looked down, playing with his thumbs. "I hate my job now, and I thought working at a Korean barbecue would be fun."
"Ah," Jimin replied. "That sounds interesting."
Hoseok pursed his lips. "I guess so."
"Well then." Jimin placed the Rubix cube on his desk. "Shall we get started, Mr. Jung?"
Hobi nodded, leaning forward.
"Do you have any experience in college?"
Hoseok softly shook his head. "I'm afraid not, sir."
"Mm." He shuffled his feet. "Did you graduate high school?"
"Of course."
Jimin suddenly stood up, a dark, sinister gleam in his eyes. "Enough chit chat." He began to approach Hoseok, a single arm behind his back. "Mind if I... give you a small prod towards the future?"
"What?" Hoseok, questioned, raising an eyebrow as he gulped. He noticed something gleaming behind the manager's back.
Jimin then revealed the weapon in his hand, presenting a long knife. "Don't worry, we do this to everybody who applies."
Namjoon entered the room once he heard the screams cut to a halt. "Another one dead?"
Jimin let out a deep sigh, tossing the stained knife to the floor. "Of course."
Namjoon rolled his eyes, frowning. "I was beginning to like that one. Seemed cheerful."
"When I have an urge to kill, I do it," Jimin responded, licking his blood-stained lips. "Besides, he hated his job anyway."
Namjoon frowned. "He was pretty, though."
"Mm, they all are. Especially that Taehyung boy." Jimin began to drag the body away, disappearing behind the door. "I'll go throw him in the dumpster, Hyung! Wait for me~."
Namjoon surveyed the blood-stained floor, smearing a drop of blood from the tiles onto his thumb. "An urge to kill, huh?"
