Chapter 13: Caught

Stephen's POV:
I woke up to feel almost every part of my body burning. I had a headache that just kept banging my head. I could feel that the lump in my coat was no longer there. I quickly feel around me to look for him. I look over to my right to see Jenny sleeping against my shoulder, holding on to little buddy as he was sleeping. Thank good, he's okay. Jenny has him... JENNY?!? I quickly got up, to much agony, and saw that Ann was here as well. Everyone was still asleep. I check the cut I had yesterday, but it was stitched and bandaged. That's weird, I don't remember doing that. I try to remember what happened yesterday.

Last night:
All four of us were anxious about Ann and Jenny leaving this late at night, especially by themselves. We tried to watch a movie to get our mind off things when we heard my doorbell ring. I thought it was them, but it would be too early for them to come back. I had installed an eyehole to see visitors after what happened last time. There was no one. I shake my head as everyone else looks over to me. I look again, still there was no one there. I resisted the urge to open the door and motion everyone to my room. They understand as we all quietly walk to my room. As soon as I closed my door, I let out a sigh of relief. Daniel gives me a confused look as I try to calm down. For some reason, I felt terror looking at nothing, but knowing that there was something there. I look to see little buddy stretching then suddenly jump up. He started looking panicked and hid under my bed. I was confused, but I recognized that look before. It was the same look he had when Jenny ran to my place to escape. I lock the door and close my blinds and locked the window.

"Stephen, what is going on?" Daniel said as Hosuh and Jay sat on the bed, confused.

"Remember when Jenny ran to my place while escaping that murderer?" I said as I cover the bottom of the door with clothes.

"How could we forget." Hosuh said, his eyes strained from stress. Jay seemed to understand and gave me a look.

"Couldn't we have grabbed a few knives before hiding in here?" Jay asked.

"True, but I have better things to use." I say as I go to a closet and feel around for the little gap. Once I found it, I pried it open, revealing a small area where I store a few better quality weapons. Knives were to informal after all.

"Could have made it bigger." Jay mumbled as he reached in the grab them all.

"I tried, but I'm not the best at math." I smiled as we picked a few light ones to carry around. Hosuh refused at first, but when we heard the pounding at the door, he quickly changed his mind. By now, Daniel and Hosuh knew what was going on.

"Shouldn't we leave?" Daniel said as we hid in my room. Little buddy was standing about a foot away from the door, refusing to move. He wouldn't budge when I tried to put him in my hoodie.

"We can't, we'll be easier prey then." I said as the banging got louder.

"Well if they're trying to kill us, might as well make it hell for them." Jay snorted as Hosuh glared at him.

"Jay! We're trying NOT to die! I just hope Ann and Jenny are okay." Hosuh said as Daniel avoided our glaze. I hadn't realized that Jenny and Ann left, but were still nearby. Were they safe? Suddenly the knocking stopped. I could hear my doorknob shaking until it final broke. Then the door opened to dead silence.

"They're in." I whispered as little buddy arced his back forward, ready to pounce. I could hear the glasses knocking over the counter as someone walked through. I could hear Daniel curse under his breath. Hosuh looked as if he was about to die and truth is, we might. Jay just had his resting bitch face while sitting on the bed. I didn't know what to think. Then they stopped at our door. I could hear my floorboards creaking as they tried to look under the door. They rattled the doorknob, but it was locked. I had a taser in one hand and a knife in the other and was ready to use it the second the entered the room. Hosuh was shaking so Daniel comforted him by placing his arm around him, but I could tell he was just as scared as he was. Then Jay suddenly had a devilish smile in his face. He told us all to hide and we followed his lead. Hosuh and Daniel hid in the closets, Jay hid underneath the desk, and I hid underneath the bed with little buddy in my hoodie. Someone broke through a few minutes afterwards. I could see two people enter the room and closing the door behind them. I held the taser at the ready. During the time we were looking for hiding spots, Jay told us of a plan to try and get us out of here without getting us hurt, but I knew he lied. There was no way to get out of this situation without getting hurt, but he said it anyways to comfort Daniel and Hosuh. He knew I already knew the outcome and gave me a glare. As soon as they were close enough to the bed, I smashed the taser and knife into both pairs of feet. Before they could even scream, Jay threw and tied their mouths with some ripped clothes. As Daniel and Hosuh searched them for any clues who they were or any other weapon we could use, me and Jay kept watch. I still couldn't tell how many more people were here. Not including these two, there was two more in the kitchen and living room. They had nothing except a gun. Jay took it, and Daniel took the other as I took back my taser and knife. We didn't want to barge in since we would probably get shot so we tried to wait for the perfect time to do it. We put the two intruders in the closet. Hosuh had suggested putting on their disguises to pretend to be them, but first, their sizes don't fit us and they're clothes were covered in blood, not to mention sweat. Eventually, Jay couldn't hold in and just opened fire on both of them. One of them almost shot jay, but it just grazed his skin. He didn't even wince as they both dropped dead. Thankfully, the gun the intruders brought had a silencer on it so the only thing to be heard was the two bodies falling. Hosuh rushed to Jay aid, but suddenly stopped. We hadn't realized that there was still one left, and they had Hosuh. Me and Daniel tried to grab Hosuh, but it was too late. The held a gun to Hosuh's head as me, Jay, and Daniel froze. Hosuh was trembling as we didn't know what to do.

"If you all come with me, we can get out of here peacefully, but if not, he'll have to die. Wouldn't that be sad." The intruder said as Hosuh continued to tremble. Before anyone made a move, Hosuh kicked the intruder in the private area and it turns out, it was a guy. They immediately lowered the gun and I didn't waste a moment. I threw the knife straight towards the person, but missed and hit his shoulder instead. Hosuh ran toward us as we made a break for it. We ran towards the door, but just as I reached the doorway, I was welcomed with a knife to the stomach. The person pulled back for another attack, but Jay pulled me backwards to dodge it. He ended up getting his arm cut instead. His face turned bright red with anger as he slowly started to lose it. I only saw Jay lose it once and it was the most terrifying thing I ever saw. Yes, I also had lost it so at the time, I didn't see anything wrong with it as I enjoyed what we had done. We ran to Jay's room and locked the door. We grabbed a med kit on his desk and tried to cover the wound, but it was too deep. I cursed under my breath as Jay tried to keep calm. Unfortunately, that made his lose it even more. Little buddy was safe in my hoodie as I tried to focus. We heard nothing on the other end do Jay took my taser, which I took back from him, but he glared at me so I gave it to him. He opened the door and tased the person nearest to him. He tried to continue this before Hosuh had to snap him back to reality. Then Hosuh fell down, Daniel looked behind him too late and was also hit on the head. The intruder from earlier that Hosuh escaped from held a bat as he tried to aim for me. I dodged and he hit Jay instead. Jay didn't fall down to his surprise as Jay turned to face him.

"Now you're really pissing me off." Jay said as he completely lost it. He gave me a glare as I nodded. I grabbed both Daniel and Hosuh and helped them up back to Jay's room. I quickly shut the door and took a few deep breaths to drown out the scream from outside. Hosuh started crying as Daniel just started shaking.

"It'll be alright." I said as I tried to not pay attention to what was happening outside.

"Will Jay be alright?" Hosuh asked.

"Oh he'll be fine, it's them I'm worried about." I snorted. I knew Jay held back more now because of Jenny. I knew he liked her, so did everyone else, including me. I knew he would hate to show her a side he knew would scare her, but I wasn't too sure. Jay may be smart when it comes to riddles and smarts, but was kinda stupid with love. I chuckled at the thought. The night Jenny ran to my place and to night when she was so drunk to the point she couldn't remember what she was doing, she had the same look on her face, absolute blankness. That look itself terrified me. She was kind and sweet, yes, but I felt there was more then what we saw. She was... different. I broke out of my thoughts as someone knocked on the door. I frowned and got up.

"You done Jay?" I said as I stepped back.      

"Yea, just... don't look, please." He said from the other side of the door. I couldn't help but grin.

"You know I don't make promises."

"I figured." I opened the door to the mess he made. He was almost covered in head to toe in blood. Hosuh didn't want to look and Daniel just turned away. I knew something like this would happen. Body parts everywhere, blood splattered across the walls and undescribable things were scattered all around the floor.

"I think I may have gone a bit overboard." Jay mumbled as we walk a bit into the house.

"You don't say." I said as I glared at him. My once clean house was a mess. We were going to have a long talk after all of this.

EEEEEE!!! Almost two thousand words! Almost T.T This took so long so I hope you guys enjoyed. I know the romance really did go out the window for the last few chapters, but i promise we'll get back on trach after all this. And some of you are wonder why did I make Jenny this kind of character. Well, I for one grew tired on how the main character is either defenseless or straight up can't do anything in these kind of situations. And also this is DanPlan we're talking about, they're bound to cause trouble so why not combine them? I like the way the story is going so it'll stay that way.
