** AU where Kakyoin... well... doesn't... 🍩**

Also apparently he doesn't have any repercussions from the fight with Dio bc someone forgot to include those so...

Anyways I hope you enjoy!

My breathing rattled in my lungs, my feet slapping the pavement as the stand chased me down the street.

They'd ruined it.

But... they always did.

I blew out a hard breath. We'd split up, and of course- of course- they'd chosen to follow the weaker of us two. I glanced around, scanning the crowd quickly.

Cars honked as I ran down the center of the street, people shouting at me. I risked a glance over my shoulder as the stand barreled towards me.

When I turned my head again, a car was right in front of me.

In the next second, I was shooting through the air, one green whip latched onto a building not too far ahead. I let go as soon as I'd passed the car, a grin stretching over my lips as I realized how it'd looked to everyone around me. As if I'd just flown- shooting through the air.

I did enjoy a dramatic figure.

My gaze slipped back to the stand behind me.

A cloud of darkness blotted out the sun, stretching over the street. Mostly harmless- unless I was trapped in it.

That would... not be good.

So I kept moving, eyes scanning for the other man traveling with me.

We'd been on our way home.

After four months, I was going to see my family.

But of course we'd been interrupted.

By one of Dio's minions.

Who, apparently, was still loyal to him, even though he was dead. I grit my teeth as a semi truck approached me.

I stretched out both arms, gripping both buildings to either side and launching myself up. I flipped once, landing neatly on the top of the truck. I jumped off, slipping along a tendril before hitting the ground again.

My breath was coming in harsh gasps, lungs beginning to ache. I hope he was coming soon. Not that I couldn't defeat the stand by myself, of course, but there was a lot of a higher risk when it was just me.

Especially considering this stand had a very obvious, very usable blind spot. Much easier if one of us played the bait.

I was just sour it'd chosen me as the prey, and not Jojo.

An intersection was approaching, the road splitting off both right and left. I considered it for a beat.

I was attempting to play down on the whole flying thing- especially in broad daylight. Especially considering how close to home I was. But... then again...

I cursed softly, reaching up a hand. Tendrils whipped out, catching onto the lip of the building. I wrapped it around my hand twice, coming up on the base of the building. A café sat at the base of it, and the people looked up, eyes going wide as they saw me hurtling towards the glass window at full speed.

I'm sure they were even more shocked when I shot into the air, vaulting the side of the building in a few leaps.

Shadows swarmed behind me, gaining a few feet as I spent a few precious seconds vaulting the building.
