Misunderstanding

Part 3

Ricky pov

"Who was that? Why was he here?" I thought. I couldn't find out much while we were eating because everyone was talking about show, but he was all I was thinking about. "Was he Nini's boyfriend? Why was he in the hospital?" I couldn't focus on anything else.

"Luckily everything came together in the end, right Ricky" Big red said.

"Ah yeah" I said not really knowing what he was asking about.

"Why haven't you eaten any of your food, Ricky? Do you not like it?" Big red asked curiously.

"No, it's just. It's nothing". I said taking a bit of my food. I looked over at Nini and she was eating her food really fast. "What was the rush" I wondered.

She stood up and said she was done with her food and she said that she really needed to be somewhere. Everyone waved bye to her as she left the restaurant in a rush. I really wanted to know where she was going, but alas she was already gone.

Nini pov

I rushed off as fast as I could to meet Max at the ice cream shop.

"I hope you saved room for dessert" he said.

"Who comes to an ice cream shop already full" I asked chuckling a little.

After that we just sat there looking at each other for a little.

"Are you really sure you are ok to be out of the hospital" I asked concerned about his health.

" I'm fine. Really"

"ok" I said reluctantly.

After a moment of silence, I decided to break the ice.

"I thought that I would never be able to talk to you again. I thought you were going to die. You were supposed to die." I said starting to cry again.

"I didn't and that is the only thing that matters" he said trying to comfort me.
