Nini pov I just finished eating at In and Out and I really want to meet up with Max, so I started texting him to meet up with me.

I was really excited to talk, so I rushed out of the restaurant and drove off because I wanted to be there early. But when I got there, he was already waiting.
"Really. I wanted to beat you here." I said giggling a little
"Did you really think you would ever be here first? Have you ever been anywhere first?
"hey" I said "I might not be the most punctual person, but I was here early today, so it's not my fault this time. And we may have never met if I was a more punctual person"
Flashback on
"I just had the worst day" I said to myself thinking about how I needed something to cheer me up. I realized I was supposed to meet my best friend, Kourtney, at the ice cream shop right next to my house and I was already so late. I walked inside and started to look for Kourtney, but as soon as I walk in a bunch of ice cream was thrown right on me. "seriously". I looked up to see who it was. It was one of the workers, but I didn't recognize him. "He must be new" I thought to myself.
"sorry" he said "I'll go get napkins
He left in a hurry and came back with a stack of napkins. I went to the bathroom to clean myself . After that I went back in to look for Kourtney, but she appeared to be late too. Then the worker came up to me.
"I think I might of already said this, but I'm really sorry. It was an accident" he said with a worried face.
"it's okay" I said looking at his name tag "Max. I know it was just an accident and I am all cleaned up now, so no harm done. But you really should be more careful"
" I usually am, but today is my first day working and I am really nervous and making a lot of mistakes." he said "Ice cream is on the house".
"Thank, but you really.." I said as I got a text. It was from Kourtney.

I tried not to sound to disappointment, but I really wanted to talk to her. Max saw the disappointment in my eyes.
"I guessing today not going that well" he said
"Yeah it been a terrible day and I wanted to talk to by best friend about it, but she no coming anymore."
"Well I'm here. You can talk to me about it even though I know it is not the same. I on my break right now, so I have time."
"I guess it couldn't hurt" I said "But first I need to get ice cream." After I got ice cream, i sat down and we started talking"
