“Urghhh” he groaned. I jerked off from my luggage and it fell open alongside my keys.
I picked nothing up since my attention got caught up with a red spot on his knee.
Whoever called is getting it from me!
“Oh my God!” I exclaimed, raising my head slowly just to have contact with some brown, intimidating eyes. He had his eyebrows furrowed together and his jaw bones tensed.
“I’m so.... sorry... I was...” I fumbled with my words, not sure what to say, do, or what his reaction might be. Or was this about the fact my breath had paused for a moment at how gorgeous he looked?
Without a word, he lowered himself, helping me to pick up the few things which fell out while I stood there observing until the last moment he smirked at my lace bra like it was awful. Maybe the color.
“I can offer you some first aid,” I interjected his sarcastic behavior, snatching my already closed valise from his grip
“No!” he denied, leaving me wondering if his lips even parted for that response. “It’s not serious,” he said.
“Watch where you’re going next time.” He told me, his voice spiced with lots of thickness as he gave me an intriguing look.
“Sure” I nodded letting out some air and turning to leave because I couldn’t even stand for one minute how everyone kept their gaze on me. “Sorry again.” I apologized for the last time before turning and taking a deep breath.
“Wait!” echoed a few inches behind me. “I would help you.” He said, taking t from me as our fingers caressed other, but I did not react to it.
“You shouldn’t be abandoned to carry heavy stuff around,” he told me as it came out to me as an insult
“I’m not abandoned. My mom was going to help, but I refused because It was no big deal and took doing okay with helping myself but not until you showed up.” I told him angrily and hated the impression he got from me carrying my stuff. Right now, saying it pissed me off would be an understatement. But then again, wasn’t I saying too much?
“Ah, you denied help.” He said, placing my valise in front of my room, still panting from the load. He then left before I could say a word or utter a thank you. I rushed my fingers through my hair giving a sigh
I had thought he was gentle enough when he helped me earlier, but not after he just insulted me. He was putting up an altitude in front of everyone and now I don’t know if to say he is some energy drainer.
After I thought out where to place him and his “altitude”, frustration filled me as I recalled he still had my keys. I knocked, hoping whoever my roommate was is not much of an ass and is home. But it crowned the frustration in me when no one responded.
I was already hating how my first day in school was turning out and I stood there looking dumb and confused.
“Here!” I heard a familiar voice from my left.
“Sorry. I forgot I had your keys,” he chuckled
What was so amazing or funny? probably how pathetic I looked.
“Thanks.” I seized the key from him, still frowning.
“You’re...”
I was going to tell him how annoying he was when he interrupted me with his name.
“I’m Aydan. Morgan!”. He called my name and my mouth fell open the moment he did.
