Our Beginning

Important!

This is not a chapter but it is important to read to understand the story. You don't have to read this but I would advise you to because I will only be including enough details in the story to make sense all other info will be included here. If I make any updates to this I will let you all know at the end of the chapters.

The Great War

This war takes place 25 years ago from the present time of the story-- which is 2030, so the war took place in 2005. There won't be any major changes to society only that supernatural creatures and humans have always coexisted. This will be mentioned in the story a lot because as we know wars always have impacts on the future. The Great War is the thing that I will include in detail in the story as it will pertain to the character's journey.

Realms/ Districts 

* I decided it would be more interesting if I split up the two realms as a result of the war. There are four districts not counting the Outerlands.

The Theriatopia District

This district includes the werewolves and shapeshifters and is ruled by Alpha Hudson, London Hudson, she is Laurie's mom. This is the district in which Darcy grows up in as a disguise because she is does not technically belong to any of the districts. Alpha Hudson allowed Darcy and her family to stay as promise made to Darcy's mother. Work under/ take orders from King Light as lycans and Faye are more superior in order sense but due to the war was split up as a way to divide power. Alpha Hudson is a werewolf and is mated to a shapeshifter, which led o the creation of their hybrid daughter. Hybrids/ Trybrids are extremely rare and powerful.

The Nepieraian District

This district is ruled by King Light who has rein over the werewolves/ shapeshifters/ lycans/Dragons but after the war it was split so he has most control over the lycans and Dragons. The realm was called the Solis Kingdom which means Sun Kingdom in Latin. Over the years King Light has become increasingly strict with its people but hasn't done anything rash to make the people suspicious enough to revolt. This is the district Carter is meant to take over but due to his fathers corruption its not possible right now. There are other versions of dragons in this district but the main types are : Red, Gold,and Blue. Wyverns are also in this district but near extinction as they are being hunted by rouge humans.

The Sottesian District

The Sottesian District is a part of the second realm its ruled by Prince Ivan who is a vampire. He will remain a prince until he claims his beloved as he cannot rule without his balance of nature. This district includes vampires and Faye but reigns over humans and witches also. The realm was called the noctis Kingdom which means the night kingdom in Latin. The Faye and vampires are very chaotic creatures as they like to start trouble and are very manipulative. They are very secretive and don't usually like to communicate with the other districts unless they have to.

The Cristianeism District

This district takes orders from Chancellor Sykes who is human. Witches are considered more or less humans if they loose their powers but mostly they are there to protect the humans from the other districts. Ivan reins over them too as human blood is the main source of food for vampires and Faye love to manipulate and trick them. In the districts they are much safer. The Chancellor made a deal with the Prince that any humans/witches that commit crimes against their district are to be sent to the Sottesian district as food or source of entertainment for the vampires/Faye.

The Outerlands

This land is considered a place were evil creatures roam and wreak havoc. No one controls the lands but its run by the evil entities of past warlocks. This where most of the warlocks live because they are the reason so much evil is in the world. They were cast out of the Cristianesim district and bound there by the witches after the war. All sorts of creatures live here most are almost extinct and come here to escape hunters, and creatures who have committed horrible crimes. This is also where Amara has the most influence.
