Awkward Moments That Everybody Can Relate To:

    ~The awkward moment when...

- When you push a door that says pull or vice versa. We've all been there.

- When you wave at somebody who you thought was waving to you but in actuality was waving to the person behind you, so you pretend to wave to the person behind them. Confusing, no?

- When you wave to a complete stranger thinking that you knew the guy.

- When you just meet someone and then forget the person's name when striking up a conversation. So you just pray that you'll never meet that same person ever again.

- When you're sitting next to a complete stranger on a plane, who also happens to have disgusting sleeping and eating habits.

- When you have no idea what to text back to your friend so you just type "..." 

- When you trip over air.

- When you laugh out loud at some funny incident that happened in the past and the people next to you think you're demented.

- When you laugh out loud at some funny incident in the book you're reading and the people next to you think you're demented.

- When you try telling this hilarious joke to people but no one laughs or even remotely gets it. 

- When you say goodbye to a person and then realise both of you are going the same way.

- When someone tells an unfunny joke and you fake laugh just trying to be polite.

- This:

Guy: *very quiet mumble mumble mumble mumble*

Me: Pardon?

Guy: *a bit louder but still very quiet mumble mumble mumble*

Me: Could you, uh, speak a bit louder?

Guy: *rolls eyes* *mumble MUMBLE mumble mumble mumble mumble*

*awkward silence*

Me: *trying to save time and awkwardness* Ah, now I see. 

- When there's an awkward silence in class and somebody just whispers "AWKWARD SILENCE PEOPLE" really loudly (if that makes sense), making it even more awkward for everyone else. 

- When you ask some person at a store about something sales-related, and then realising that they don't even work there.

- When you offer someone food, out of courtesy, and they actually take it.

- When you're eating loud crunchy food in a quiet room.

- When you have dirty fingers (from eating crisps, duh,) and try to open your book/access your phone, just using your palms, without anyone staring at you. 

- When you're reading a book but your mind is so preoccupied with other things so you have no idea what you just read for the last page or two. 

- When someone leans down in front of you and their butt is in your face.

- When your family and friends are singing happy birthday to you and you just stand there awkwardly not knowing what to do.

- And lastly, the classic awkward moment when you and a stranger are walking in opposite directions on a street, so you sidestep them but they go the same way - and this repeats six more times. -_-
