jaemin bit his lip nervously, "uh..."
"you don't have to lie. i can see why you act like this now." jeno laughed softly. "you act up around others for attention because your parents don't give you enough attention, right?"
"yeah..." jaemin admitted. "my mom just sent me here because she got tired of hearing all the scandals and doesn't wanna deal with my bullshit again. my dad doesn't even care."
"i'm sure they care." jeno reassured him. "no they don't jeno." jaemin scoffed. "my dad is a wealthy celebrity lawyer, while my mom mooches off of him and i sing and dance."
"have you tried talking to them?" jeno said curiously. "they never listen, they just tell me 'shut up, go talk to your therapist' which i don't even have. they just assume because of my job."
"so your parents don't listen to your music? or watch your shows? none of that?" jeno asked again. jaemin shook his head, "nope. they just supported me because they agreed to it."
"so you act dumb and get into all these scandals to distract yourself from the real world, huh?" jeno concluded. "you could say it like that, i mean what's false?" jaemin shrugged.
"you could've just told the headmaster y'know. or my dad, he could've helped you." jeno told him. "my problems aren't supposed to be your dad's problems jeno." jaemin replied.
"still! you probably wouldn't be in this mess right now." jeno smiled at him apologetically. "who knows, you and i probably would've been really good friends, we wouldn't be arguing."
"why are you doing all of this?" jaemin suddenly blurted. "i'm surprised that you haven't snapped at me and just taken me to the headmaster, i am really annoying you know..."
"jaemin, you barely know me." jeno said with a playful tone. "i'm not that annoyed by you y'know? i know it seems like i hate you but i really don't. in fact, you're kinda funny sometimes."
jaemin giggled a little, realizing what chenle meant in the library. jeno didn't hate him, it just took a while to open up between the two, and it seemed now that had already happened.
"now, i know you're really smart, and you have a lot of potential. you're just on the wrong path, and i'll help you get on the right one, if you just trust me. is that okay?" jeno asked worriedly.
jaemin didn't know what the hell was going through his mind at one point, and he's definitely never had a crush on guy like jeno. but, this time he realized that his feelings were true.
the boy looked at jeno, with his heart racing quick before he made a move that he would not expect to ever happen between them in their occurring friendship.
