Raising Two Newbie Vampires (TO-TVD)

Prologue: RTNV

Welcome to my new story!

Alaric Saltzman was a normal man like any other. He lived a fairly happy and adventurous life. That was until his wife passed away. Like any human, Alaric was distraught. He didn't enjoy living in the same house that took his wife. In result, he sold it and moved to Mystic Falls where he applied for a job as a high school history teacher.

Pretty normal right?

That's where you're wrong.

Alaric wasn't any ordinary human. He knew things. Things that normal people weren't aware of. Things other people believed to be stories, myths.

Isobel hadn't passed from any natural causes. She was murdered right in front of his eyes. Not by any human killer, but by a vampire. He later found out that his wife was aware of the supernatural creatures that went bump in the night. Isobel hadn't mentioned it to Alaric. Rather, she prompted to keep him in the dark.

Following her death, Alaric had gone through files that she had worked on throughout her life. He found a town with a high supernatural presence-  Mystic Falls.

Alaric soon found out who had murdered his wife in cold blood - Klaus Mikaelson. According to Klaus Isobel wasn't technically dead. In fact, she had asked to be turned into a vampire. Klaus hadn't been at a good place at the time, and desperately needed a distraction, so he obliged.

Later on, Alaric had been used against the original family by none other than the original witch- Esther. She had binded the ring Isobel gave to Alaric (it let him cheat death if he died at the hands of the supernatural) with the last of the white oak, so if it was used on an original it wouldn't burn.

Making the only stake indestructible.

With her magic, Esther made Alaric a vampire as strong and indestructible as an original. Alaric refused to go through the transition since he had grown quite close to Elijah and Niklaus, but Esther had forcefully fed him human blood; forcing  him to turn.

With the help of Alaric, the Mikaelsons successfully took down their mother, once again.

Alaric hoped that once Esther was dead her magic would be reversed and he would be human once more. He later felt foolish for having such hope.

Elijah witnessing how Ric was struggling with being a vampire; decided to help.

Elijah never thought what happened next would become a reality.

Next thing you know Alaric was signing papers to adopt not one, but two teenage boys. Two teenage boys which coincidentally had been recently turned the night prior, by none other than Kol.

In Kol's defense he was bored. No one wanted to go out and murder people with him, so he turned the first two blokes he crossed paths with.

Those two blokes just happened to be none other than Stefan and Damon Salvatore.

Although both Damon and Stefan were from the founding families, they had no idea the supernatural even existed. They were far too young to be told of the supernatural existence around Mystic Falls according to the founding families.

The Salvatores were placed into the system when their parents died from an ordinary 'animal' attack.

Now the two teenage boys found themselves in the back seats of Elijah Mikaelson's Mercedes.
