“If you don’t mind me asking what is the suit made of? I asked the escort who was taking measurements.
“A rare metal known as coresum, made by the void and the only way to get it is to melt down their armor and weapons also it’s bound together by a synthetic material which has the ability to bind the metals to your body.” She said.
“So if I wanted to I can’t take it off?”
“Oh no you can take it off and put it back on in a machine that will recognize your measurements and a special password only you will know.” As she said this she pointed to a cylindrical object with a holo-screen hovering in front of the doors and what looked like a password input system.
“Measurements are done sir please wait here” she stepped over to the object and put in an input code and entered the measurements. “Alright, now can you please step into the armorer and we will get you outfitted.” I stepped into the ‘armorer’ or so it was called as I stepped in my arms and legs were clasped by robotic arms the doors slid and shut with alarming speed then two plates slid out from slits inside the machine with armor attached too them they then sandwiched me between them and surprisingly the metal molded to my body shape and then moved away leaving the armor behind, the machine slid open and pushed me out. The armor was a greyish black metal and where parts were connected glowed a slight purple hue (probably the synthetic material). The armor consisted of a full body plate of armor to my wrists and had come with already attached boots, it was very light for the fact that it was two inches of impenetrable material they gave me a helmet that matched the armor, the helmet covered my entire head but there was a opening big enough for just the eyes and nose the opening was covered with plexi-glass that was tinted black I also put on a pair of tactical gloves that matched the armor.
“Well all fits right so now what?” I asked.
“Well lets take a stop at the armory and pick your weapons.” She answered
I wore my devilish grin under my helmet as we walked to the armory, when we entered I was met by my team.
“Finally you decided to show up!” Joey said with a grin, everyone had the same armor type as I did, but I was the only one wearing the helmet.
“Looks like we got a tin head here!” Martin said with a slightly foolish tone.
“Don’t make me pound your head on the first day rookie” I tolled him while taking my helmet off
“You think you can take me?! I would beat you so hard your grandchildren will feel it.”
“Alright hotshot you, me sparring arena…” I said with a serious glance.
“Don’t get to hurtin’ each other before a mission! I won’t have an injured soldier to worry about!” Cylia butted in.
“Don’t worry I won’t kill him” Martin answered, I scoffed to his answer.
“I will have you know I graduated top class in hand-to-hand combat in training” Martin said.
“Have you seen real battle rookie?” I asked seriously “I have.” I got closer to him “I watched my mother die in front of me, I was in the epicenter of the attack I survived what was supposed to be the end, me and Joe, survived it…” I turned away as I felt my face contort “Only me and Joey…”
When I saw David’s face I knew he wasn’t lying about what had happened but it was still hard to belief there had to be other survivors it couldn’t be just them two.
“Varineya come on it seems the idiot and mister. Emotional are going to fight” Cylia shouted.
“You could be nicer to them you will be working with these guys for quite a while” I said, Cylia poked her head around the corner.
