The night had grown dark, the rum barrels emptied, laugher filling the air
(what a cliche start)
Men were drunk arguing what is the best way to get laid or something. the night had been a lot of fun, But the night had gone long. then I felt a head dropping on my shoulder, looking down I saw the sleeping figure of Yunho
"what?-oh. He already passed out?"
I looked around realizing half of the kids were. at the end of the table were me and Hyungwon sat with the eight kids, I only saw Hoongjoong, Seoghwa and Yeosang still sitting up
"Shouldn't you kids be already in bed? And who gave you alcohol?"
Another body leaped on me, a drunk Hyungwon attacking me with his disgusting breath.
"You're drunk yourself!"
"No I'm not! I'm trying to be a responsible adult in front of the kids while you on the other hand, are wasted"
I wasn't drunk, just tipsy. And I didn't dare to get drunk, god knows what would I have said or said, probably got us thrown over the edge. And I didn't want that, not yet. Especially when I think we're close to end the mission.
"You're in a pirate ship, there are no drinking ages or so"
The captain said as he came standing at the end of the table and the boys chucked at him
"so if you don't mind helping these "I pass out after two drinks" boys to their beds. At the same my boys could show you were you will be sleeping"
The Captain said
"ofcourse captain"
I nodded to him
"and then have a good night all, and Jun"
I looked up at him again
"first thing in the morning, come to my chambers, I would like to discuss about some things"
"I will be there"
We nodded to each other and he went his way
"so, five drunk bodys and four of us"
Hoongjoong muttered as I smacked Hyungwon's head as hard as I can
"OW! I didn't do anything!"
"exactly, now you need to focus and help to get the kids to bed"
"you could have just told me"
He pouted. Firstly I got up holding Yunho's head up. I stood behind the boy and gently lifted him over my right shoulder and hold him there, as Hoongjoon was trying to get orders to the other two.
"And then -oh, you already got Yunho I see um.."
"Can any of you lift anyone alone?"
I asked and Hyungwon immediately lifted his hand
"I can"
"sure you do"
I snorted
"I think I can handle Woo"
Hoongjoong said nodding
"Seonghwa and Yeosang if you can get San and I help Hyungwon with Jongo and then some of us can come back and get Mingi, right?"
I said and everyone got into it.
After me and Seonghwa went to get Mingi I wished him good night and headed to my hammock. I thought I would fell asleep quite easily after such a day, but my mind didn't let me have the sleep I needed. After a while of just turning around, it was getting quite steamy at the sleeping area, what I had already forgotten the pirate term of. I thought I needed some fresh air, so trying to be as quiet as I could I made my way back on the main deck. Most of the crew had gone to sleep but there was still a couple who didn't make it. Thankfully they all were passed out and the only thing I could hear was the ship hitting the waves.
"can't sleep?"
my body was too tired to react warningly so I just turned around. The voice belonged to a quite a young man on the helm, he looked like he was in his mid-twenties.
"My mind has just been a mess lately, and accidentally getting to a pirate ship hasn't helped. But I think I can set my mind in peace soon"
I sighed as I made my way up to the quarter deck
"Well there is still quite long till we head to France so I think you should put your worries away and try to relax. We're at the sea there is not much for you to worry, unless you're on the blacklist of France or England or... if you're royal blood, that would be a scene, the prince of England sailing with pirates"
He laughed keeping his eyes at the sea
"you can trust me I'm not the Prince of England"
I gave a half-smile and sighed
"I will try to relax, thank you"
"oh, I'm Eric, Eric Nam. And you were Jun right?"
He looked at me for a second and smiled and I nodded
"So, Sailor. Can you tell me what time is it?"
We both let a short laugh at the nickname
"I'm not sure of the numbers but the sun is about to rise"
To his words, I looked over the side of the ship seeing a yellowish hue on the horizon
"Well might just stay up till it rises"
I left out a silent laugh, eyes on the sea

As said I waited for the sun to rise. Me and Eric didn't talk much more, just enjoyed the sunrise in silence. not soon after the sun had fully risen Seonghwa appeared on the main deck looking around...frantic?
"What's wrong Seonghwa?"
turned around so fast he almost tripped on himself
"oh thank god! I didn' find you from your hammock so I thought you would have..maybe"
he started talking fast but slowed in the end not finishing
"You thought what?"
"Nothing, just stupid. Anyways, we need to get preparing breakfast"
"Do you think the captain is up yet?"
"What? I don't know just come-"
" He probably is"
Eric interrupted the younger
"Thank you. I promised him that I would talk to him, so I'm sorry. I will join you two as soon as I can"
I said and headed down to the main deck
"o-okhay"
Seonghwa breathed out. At the same time, Léon appeared on the other side of the deck
"Seonghwa!Jun! The Kitchen.Now!"
"I will explain to him"
Seonghwa half-smiled. I thanked him and as he went to Léon I turned to the big door under the quarter deck. After the first knock, I heard nothing but as I was about to knock again the door opened the captain behind it
"Jun, glad to see you. We have some important things to discuss about"
