Okay so I let the question run for a few hours and most of y'all picked 2, but some of y'all picked 1, and I want to make everyone happy so I'm going to combine them in a snazzy way.
Like Yamaguchi is still going to be emotional and stuff, and that's what the conversation was about, but Tsukishima will slowly get more comfortable with him, so he will eventually show more of himself. (He shows himself already, but the way I see it is that Tsukishima would be atleat a bit protective over Yamaguchi since he's so beautiful.
So basically I'm doing number 2, but I'm adding a bit of number 1 to accommodate everyone.
