Chapter 6

Brish's POV

"AHHHHHHHHHHH!!" Ohmygoddd,its a ghost, I am going to die!! Goodbye world! No, wait! In the name of The Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit, I banish thee!"

"I don't think that this is going to work you buffoon!! Go for the good old Gayatri Mantra!! I don't even know it!"

Now, you must be thinking why the both of us are screaming like kids. Its because there is a black silhouette, standing right in front of us. Speaking like a human being. Now, remember when we were going through stuff in the kid's room and speculating as to why, it felt like none's come into this room in a long time and someone had spoken from behind us? We like normal human beings had turned around to see who who it was and, lo and behold, we see this.

An utterly black silhouette of what seems like a kid, standing at the doorstep. Don't ask if it was facing us or not, because I have no clue. But most probably it was facing us.

Coming back from this flashback, Sneha was still blabbering.

"-an assume that I know it?! I don't, okay! Shit, its coming towards us!!Brish, do something!!"

"Well, my apologies that I have no clue how to outrun a ghost!!"

"You are of no use!!You're as useless as my old phone!Ahh!"

Since the thing, I am just going to refer to it as 'the thing', was coming closer we literally jumped out of its way on either side. Now, we were in a square like room, close to the bed, which was placed on the back corner of the room,so we had no space to backtrack,therefore the need to jump to the sides to avoid the thing coming from the front.

No sooner had we jumped out of its way, than it turned its head towards me and started advancing. I was never one to resort to running as I just can't, but when Its a matter of life and death, anyone can do the impossible. So, being me, I shouted,

"What are you waiting for?! RUN to the door and down the stairs you wide-eyed dumbhead!"

With that both of us ran towards the door and down the stairs to the ground floor, at the speed of lightning. While running neither of us had looked back, not even to check if the thing was following us. Running down the stairs was no easy feat. The old stairs, almost gave away, under our thundering footsteps.

"I am calling the others and telling them to get the hell out of here!"

"Best idea you have ever had!"

By this time, we had come down to the courtyard where the four of us had parted ways. The door was in our line of vision.

"You literally just started to call, Give them some time. Meanwhile let's use the door to get out!!"

"What do they need time for?! And why can't we hear the phone ringing?! I am telling you something is wro-"

"WHAT IS HAPPENING?!"

The both of looked at each other and ran towards the direction, where we thought the voice came from. The voice of our very own cousin.

Rahul's POV

"Urj..Urjowshi Di.."

My voice was barely above a whisper, and maybe she heard how scared I was, but she did not tell me to shut up instantly. Instead she turned around and, immediately stood as still as the statue.

The smile she had given me earlier was still there, and it creeped me the hell out. But, before anyone of us could do or say anything she turned around and just vanished on the spot.

My mind was still reeling from that incident. When Urjowshi Di was the first to speak.

"Let's get out of here. Call the other two and tell them to get the hell o-"

"AAAHHHH!"

Both of us looked at each other, because we both knew that voice all too well. It was Sneha.

We sprinted towards the door, but as we were about to get out the room, the door slammed on our faces and I collided with it headfirst, because I had started to run faster. And as a result of the collision I stumbled backwards and into Urjowshi Di and the both of us fell down on the floor.

"Of! Get off of me, Rahul! You weigh a ton and I don't wanna die here!!"

"Sorry, sorry, getting off now."

"We need to get out this room as fast as we can!! God knows why Sneha screamed that loud!! Are you even listening to me?!"

"I AM! I just, I am trying to get the anyone of them on call, but its not connecting!! What if something happens to the both of them!! We should have never agreed to this, we are the adults here, we were supposed to keep them out of trouble! I-"

"Hey, hey, hey, we will get out of this mess of a situation and get them out safely too! I promise. But, right now, our first priority is to get out of here. It is the only way we can help them. So stop regretting the decisions we took in the past, and concentrate on the present situation."

"Yeah. You are right, as always!! Moping here, in this locked room will do us no good! Let me see if I can break the door!"

"Umm, not to burst your bubble Rahul. But, I don't think you have the physical structure to break the door alone."

"Normally, I would be hurt by this statement, but you are right. Let's hit this door with all we have on the count of three. Okay??"

"Okay."

"On my count. One....Two....and..Three!"

Thump.

"Again.One....Two....and..Three!"

Thump.

"Its not gonna budge. Maybe we should try it the old fashioned way. You know, bobby pins always work."

"I mean, suree."

With that, I moved away from the door and let her do her work, and started looking for another way a out. A window or another door leading to another room. Anything that could get us out of here.

"Is it getting unlocked?!"

"I need time! Do I look like I pick locks for a living?!"

"Sorry! I am just impatient."

"I understand, but stop irritating me."

"Kay."

With that, I plopped down on the unused bed. And that was the moment when all hell broke loose. The bed started shaking slightly, along with all other furniture's and things in the room. At first, I just ignored it thinking that it maybe an earthquake.

Wait, what?! An earthquake does not make any sense. None at all. Then what the hell is happening here?!

"Umm, Urjowshi Di?? Is it just me or are you too seeing what I am seeing??"

"What are you seeing?"

"Things are starting to shake. Yeeekk!! They are starting to shake violently. What are we gonna do?! "

In front of our eyes, the furniture's in the room started to shake more and more violently. Some of them even to started to fly upwards, as if the world's gravitational pull no longer was applied to them. And in this mess, the only thing that came out of my mouth and in a rather loud voice was.

"WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING?!"

Hey guys,

First and foremost, I am so so sorry for going completely MIA for days. The pressure from college got a little out of hand and therefore I had to keep this aside for awhile. But!! Now, I am back and I am going to update this regularly until this story is completed!!
