It's the first day of school. I'm gonna meet a lot of new people. I might have new classes, we could be going over lessons I don't know. I'm only a sophomore, so Bella won't be able to stop me from saying something stupid. Bella always fit in at our old school, but I just made a fool of myself. I wish I fit in, but I'm just different. Mom would say I'm unique, with a strained smiled. This is my second chance though, I have to make something of it.
I dug through my suitcases, having not unpacked, looking for the perfect outfit. I grabbed a black spaghetti strap dress with white and blue leaves. I also dug through my bags to find something to go under or over it. I decided on a white turtle neck. I brushed my hair and went out to see Bella making breakfast.
"You look nice," She commented, taking in my attire.
"Thanks, I wanna make a good impression," I explained.
"You want eggs?" She asked, while Dad was heading down stairs in his uniform.
"No, thanks," I answered, pulling my black, boots on.
Bella looked at me sternly making me wince under her stare. "What, I'm not hungry," I defended, while dad grabbed some eggs oblivious to what was going on. Bella finally turned away from me getting herself a plate of eggs.
I poured myself a glass of apple juice and sat down, to make me look a little bit more normal.

Bella turned the noisy truck into the school's parking lot while I sat in the passenger seat. All eyes were on us as we exited the truck. I as carefully as possibly stepped down from the truck, not wanting to fall. Luck seemed to be with me today as I got out of the truck with out falling. Even if my boots were soaked I still say it was success.
Bella and I made our way towards the school, Bella had her head down with her earbuds in. I kept my head up looking around at everyone. There wasn't very many kids in there wasn't as many kids as our old school, but there was still quite a few. I grabbed Bella's hand to try and comfort her.
We made our way to the entrance and opened the door to walk inside. It was instantly warmer once we entered. We had to make our way up stairs, my worst enemy. I thought I should take it slow not wanting to embarrass myself, but Bella had other plans. I tried to keep pace with her going up the stairs, but my right foot slipped causing both of my knees to hit the corner on the stair.
I looked up and everyone was staring, so much for a new start. I slowly got up and worked my way up the stairs. Bella was waiting for me at the top, I glared at her, pissed off, and she just looked back at me sheepishly.
"Hey, you must be Isabella and Ruthine Swan. Huh interesting name never heard it before. I'm Eric, the eyes and ears of this place. Anything you need. Tour guide, lunch date, shoulder to cry on."
Is this guy for real?
"I don't cry," I answered at the same time Bella said, "I'm more of the 'suffer in silence' type."
"Good headline for your feature. I'm on the paper, and you're the news, baby, front page." The Asian boy spoke again.
"I- no we're not," Bella stuttered out.
"Whoa, chillax. No feature." Eric said.
"Would you mind just pointing me towards Mr. Varner's class?" Bella asked relaxing. I watched as Eric lead Bella away to her classes before I made my way to mine. The only class me and Bella had together was physical education.
