The last week had been tough for Bells and I, well mostly for Bella. She was upset because some boy named Edward or something stupid hadn't been coming to school. Honestly, I told her to forget about it, no one named Edward could be that hot. But Edward wasn't the only person she was worked up about. She was worried about me.
I've told her a million times that I know what I'm doing, but she never listens. I've been doing this for almost two years now, I think I know what I'm doing. If it wasn't her being nosy to begin with I'd never had been diagnosed. I mean Bella doesn't get it, I tried eating more but I gained five pounds. She didn't notice that I wore baggy clothes to cover it up, she doesn't understand.
I threw on a pair of light-washed mom jeans, with a navy blue sweater that had red and yellow boxes on it and my gray converse. I opened my bedroom door and saw Bella already walking out the door. I rushed to keep up with her, running out the door only to slip on ice and fall onto a body. I groaned pulling my head up to see Bella groaning underneath me.
"You girls okay?" Dad asked, rushing over to help us up.
"Ice doesn't help the uncoordinated." Bella joked.
"That's why I got you new tires. The other ones were nearly bald," He explained as Bella and I looked towards the truck.
"You got me new tires. No one's ever done that before," Bella mumbled drawing Dad's attention towards her. "I mean nothing," she caught herself pulling us towards the truck.
Dad reached his cruiser before speaking out to us. "I'll be late for dinner. I'm heading down to Mason County. A security guard at the Grisham Mill got killed by some kind of animal."
"An animal?" Bella question as I threw my bag in her truck.
"You're not in Phoenix anymore, honey. They've been hunting it for a week with no luck. Thought I'd lend a hand." Dad explained to us.
"Be careful Dad," I said, sliding into Bella's truck.
"Always am," He replied gruffly.
"Thank you, for the tires." Bella said obviously touched by the small thing our father did for her.

Arriving at school Bella and I part ways she heads to her group of friends while I head to mine. Thomas and I have gotten closer along with his friends. The girls Ashley, the blonde, and Kaylee, the red head, have happily allowed me in their clique. The boys however Jaxon, who has a buzz cut, and Jeremiah, who had an afro, gave me a harder time, wanting to know every detail about me.
When I entered the school Thomas was quick to find me and throw his arm over my shoulders to lead me to the group without harm. He quickly realized how accident prone I was and tried to keep me out of harm's way. When I could see the group it seemed that Kaylee was talking to her boyfriend Jameson.
Jameson seemed nice he's a curly head blonde who kept his hair shorter. When Thomas and I finally arrived Jaxon and Jeremiah who are brothers were bickering about something stupid while Ashley made out with someone who's name she doesn't even know.
"Hey, Ruthie," Jeremiah greeted being the first to notice my arrival.
"Hi, Jerry," I responded giggling as he pouted over the nick name.
We all got lost in our different conversations before the bell rang signifying it was time to get to class.
