The past

Kirishima's POV

I was shocked, to say the least Katsuki was 'kacchan'. I felt so many emotions confused, angry but most of all sorry for Izuku. I know first hand what it's like to deal with Katsuki's violent tendencies.

"Excuse me Mrs Bakugo but what do you mean by Katsuki almost killing him?" I asked. she paused for a second to recall the event.

"If I recall it correctly they were around the age of 8, so eleven years ago (In this they are all 19 or 20). We know he was quite aggressive towards Izuku since he despises weak things." I had to admit Izuku was quite small for his age but that's no reason to attack someone. 

She continued. " He had begun to control his dragon abilities but sometimes when he became enraged he would lose control. One day Izuku and he was playing and he fell into a lake and Izuku wanted to help him up. Of course, Katsuki jumped to conclusions and thought Izuku was looking down on him thus making him look weak. " That was obviously not the case even I know Izuku would have offered out of kindness.

"After that he let his rage take over and attacked Izuku using the full force of his dragon power. Izuku's mother was able to save him but he was left with a nasty burn scar that takes up the most part of his little back." She looked down in sadness recalling the moment in her head.

"So you then moved away? Was it to protect or just to run away from your responsibilities?" I was pissed to put it lightly. not only did they hurt they abandoned him without thinking about how he felt.

"Kir-" She tried to say something but I cut her off.

"Do you know how lonely he's been he said he feels abandoned and he talks about you guys all the time. Why did you leave him when he needed you most huh? You Bakugo's only thinking about your selves." I dropped the delivery off and started to walk away.

"I'm going to stay with Izuku for a while" As I walked out the door I was stopped by a remorseful looking king and queen. Damn, they were fast.

"Kirishima We will come with you and we will correctly apologise. That also means Katsuki will be coming." I was glad they wanted to make amends but also scared how will Izuku react to Katsuki. 

"However we will have to prepare so we'll leave in a month." A month was a bit long but as long I get to see Izuku that's all that matters.

Izuku's POV

It's been over a month since I've seen Kiri and being alone never felt so lonely. I really enjoyed his company but all good thing must come to an end. I've kept myself busy with running errands for prince Shoto. I don't mind it since we're friends but his dad is an ass. 

Today I was done collecting herbs for the prince and was on my way out of the castle. 

"Midoriya!" I heard an all familiar voice shout out to me.

"yes, Shoto. Did I forget something?" I asked giving him a puzzled look. He simply just smiled at me.

"No, I just wanted to walk you back since your quite sh-"

"If you say short I will hit you" I cut him off. He laughed and I joined in.

"Okay but, in all honesty, I enjoy your company and you never know the dragon kind could attack you." I sighed.

"Again with the dragon kind Shoto. They are not dangerous, they are quite friendly. stop listening to your dad ramble." Shoto raised his eyebrow.

"you say this like you know one, Do you?" I simply smiled.

"No, I don't. now if you will I would like to walk home alone you have stuff to do and me getting in the way of that is just another excuse for king endeavour to scold me." (lol like Shoto's mum scolded him with hot water. sorry just found it funny) I lied because I wish to protect the dragon kind and the more people know about where they are the more at risk they are. 

"Okay, okay ill leave you and if my dad is ever an ass tell me right away. your my best friend and I won't let him hurt you. Now goodnight Izuku and have a safe little walk" We said our short goodbyes and went our separate ways. 

The walk was nice with the cold summers breeze floating by me. That was until I saw my house in sight and saw some people standing outside my door. It took me a second to recognise them but as soon as the blonde turned around I noticed him. 'kacchan' I thought. 

Then felt pure fear as the event of the last time we saw each other flood my mind. My breathing picked up and I ran. However, I didn't get far before someone grabbed my arm.

"Hey, Izuku why are you running away." I knew the voice was Kirishima's so turned to meet his crimson eyes. 

"Sorry It's been a while since I've seen him so naturally I got scared and flight or fight kicked in and.." Kiri cut me off with a hug. After I calmed down we pulled apart and made our way to my house where the Bakugo's stood. 

"H-hey Mr and Mrs Bakugo and Kaccha- Katsuki. N-nice to see you again" I was scared they would be angry at me for being the reason they had to leave. 

"Hi Izuku sweety, how have you been and wheres Inko?" Oh yeah, they didn't know. I invited them in the house and started making tea while I felt two sets of eyes burn into the back of my head. One, kindness and love the other was with rage and resentment.
