Walker was nowhere to be seen. Hopefully he had found his car and was headed to Gananoque to join the police search. He needed something to do or he'd go crazy waiting.

Nora was not headed to a car. She was heading straight to a sea of flashing lights and inappropriate questions. Crime was a media circus and Nora was the ringmaster.

She could spin tales to cover up government flubs in her sleep. She could dodge damning questions with ease, and she could describe a criminal profile in such a way everyone saw his face in their dreams until he was caught.

Nora realized, as she stepped up to the podium, that this wasn't like any other press conference. Because with any other press conference she didn't know the person she was pleading the people help to save.

It didn't bother her during other press conferences that, statistically, by the time a press conference is called, the victim was mostly likely already dead or had a very high chance of becoming so soon. But she knew Hannah was alive. For now.

Suddenly the victim wasn't faceless. It was the blonde woman who bounced into their offices and begged them to help her save lives. The victim was Hannah, and Nora was damned if she wasn't getting her back alive. So, no, this wasn't like any other press conference. It was the best press conference Nora ever gave.

Walker called Sammie's phone from Doc's once he was on the road, instructing Sammie to keep him updated on the call to Hannah and the search. He spoke to Jenn and confirmed she was looking for Robert Hall. She was already all over it. He then hung up and drove way past the legal limit out of Kingston.
