Jack hopped into his bed, pulling the covers over him and adjusting his pillow. I smiled at him and turned to walk out but he grabbed my hand,
"JJ, can you tell me a story?" He asked softly. He had Aaron's eyes. I told him the story that was always my childhood favourite and within a few minutes he drifted off into a deep sleep. I leant over and pushed his hair off of his face and kissed his forehead. I pulled myself up off the edge of his bed and turned to see Aaron standing in the doorway, just staring at me with that gorgeous smile on his face. I walked towards him and placed a hand on his firm chest,
"I had a great day." I said looking up into his eyes.
"So did Jack, he really likes you," Aaron said, looking over at the peaceful Jack, sleeping in his bed, then he turned back to me and started speaking.
"I've loved you for a long time now but when I saw you with Jack today-"
"What?"
"I've never been more in love with you." He admitted as we walked down the hallway. I stopped him and just crashed my lips onto his, more passionately than ever. He grabbed my hips and picked me up as I hooked my legs around his waist, deepening the kiss. He pushed back onto the wall and ran his hands up and down my back. I took hold of the sides of his face and pulled my lips off of his peeling my legs off him too. We both panted for air and breathlessly smiled,
"Sorry, I just couldn't resist," I smirked and continued down the hall, he chuckled and grabbed my hand walking me to the couch. We both fell onto the lounge in sync and he put his arm around my shoulders as we got our breath back.
"How are you feeling?" He asked suddenly, looking down at where I got shot.
"I feel fine," I tried to reassure him but he just looked away, clenching his jaw. He felt responsible and it killed me.
"Hey!" I said grabbing his chin, "I'm great, I don't even notice it anymore." I smiled, kissing his lips. I turned my body to face him and threw one leg over him so that I was straddling his lap. I ran my hands through his hair and he let his head fall backwards, closing his eyes. He swallowed and let out a deep breath, now completely relaxed. I placed a kiss on his neck and then whispered in his ear,
"I love you," kissing his neck again.
"So much." I placed another kiss on his neck,
"You have no idea." I kissed his neck once more then looked into his eyes, which were now open.
"I love you too." He said resting his hands on my sides.
"What are your plans for the rest of the night?" I asked biting my lip. He looked up at me suspiciously, with a hint of a smile on his lips.
"Whatever you're doing," he growled, rolling me over so that he was on top. I smiled, rubbing my thumb along his cheekbone.
"You're back, I thought I lost you for a second back there." I smiled, so in love with him. He got up pulling me with him,
"Wanna dance?" He asked, pulling me into the middle of the room.
"There's no music," I laughed and he walked away from me and towards his speaker. He put a song on, but not so loud that it would wake Jack. The song was Be Still by The Fray, as he turned to face me my smile grew very wide.
"I love The Fray!" I said in surprise that he put this song on. He got close and pulled my body up to his.
"Well Jennifer, I know you better than you think. We have been co-workers for almost 7 years now." He pointed out, joining his hands around my lower back. I had to smile at what he said and he had a smug smile on his face which made me blush. I hung my arms over his shoulders and held onto the back of his neck, occasionally playing with his hair. He whispered that he loved me as we swayed from side to side. I buried my face in the crook of his neck as we kept dancing. Home.
