Mahoutoko || yoonmin

Chapter 2

A large thump was heard as Yoongi dropped his books onto the table of the dining hall, causing three heads to snap towards the boy.

"Yoongi - ah finally, I was about to come and drag you out of your dorm," Seokjin spoke nodding towards the empty space beside him.

Yoongi plopped down "Sorry Hyung, I was in the library. That stupid librarian still wont let me in the restricted section," he murmured with a small pout.

Opposite him, sat Taehyung, red hair covering his eyes as he hunched back over to scoff down his lunch, after giving Yoongi a small wave. Beside Taehyung, was Namjoon, Yoongi's first friend at Mahoutokoro, who was also munching on his lunch with an open book beside his plate.

"Of course she won't, you probably have at least fifty unreturned books," Taehyung mumbled, through his food.

Yoongi opened his mouth to reply in defence, however, the presence of three more people made him stop and turn.

"Can we sit? " Jimin spoke with a smirk.

Before Yoongi had time to reply they sat. Jimin next to Yoongi and the other two beside Taehyung.

"Jimin. What are you doing? "Yoongi asked.

"Thought I'd come over and see if you've fixed my broom," Jimin replied, nonchalantly.

Dumbfounded, Yoongi responded, "I told you yesterday it would take time, and that I wasn't even sure I could fix it. "

Yoongi and Jimin continued to bicker, whilst on the other side of the table Taehyung had stopped eating to stare at the two unknown boys next to him.

"Hi! I'm Kim Taehyung, ninth year, I'm in Yosamu," he spoke, with a boxy smile.

"Jung Hoseok, tenth year, also Yosamu house," the boy beside him replied, beaming like the sun.

| Taehyung and Hoseok both were sorted into house Yosamu, which is represented by a Kite and midnight blue, the attributes of students in this house are patient, idealistic, adaptive and protective. Members of this house know the value of truth, are positive and believe good things can be achieved even when they seem unlikely to others. |

"Jeon Jungkook, ninth year, Toppu house," he spoke, stone-faced.

| Toppu house is represented by an eel and the colour sea green. Toppu students are meticulous, quick-witted and appreciative, they're also mindful of details, can easily make friends and are precise and conscious. Although toppu students make friends with ease, they cut people off with the same ease if they're untrustworthy. |

Namjoon leant forwards to see them, "Kim Namjoon, tenth year and house Shunrai, like Jin here," he motioned towards Seokjin, who was currently watching Yoongi and Jimin argue with amusement.

| House Shunrai, represented by a cat and dusty lavender was the third house of Mahoutokoro, it's students are confident, unpredictive, good-humoured and inquisitive. They are also typically very friendly, thirsty for knowledge and push their boundaries the most out of the four houses. |

Seokjin looked back over towards the other boys, "Ah sorry, I'm Kim Seokjin, nice to meet you all. This is Min Yoongi. He's a ninth year house seiran, " he said calmly, pointing at Yoongi who was still arguing with jimin.

| The final house, house Serian is represented by a Sika deer and the colour slate grey. Attributes of the students are bold, imaginative and intuitive. Serian students are also protective of who they care about, show great care for the future and go off their instinct. |

"That's Park Jimin 10th year, house Toppu, like Jungkookie here, " Hoseok spoke with a grin, nudging Jungkook, to which he responded with a disgusted face.

"Don't call me that. " he grumbled.

"Yah, respect your hyung." hoseok replied smacking him in the back of the head.

"I already told you I can't. " Yoongi said, annoyed.

"You can't what Yoongi? " Taehyung spoke, overhearing the boy's argument.

"I was explaining that I can't go in the restricted section in the library which might have the books I need to undo the spell on his broken broom. "

"Hyung, '' Jungkook said towards Jimin, "why don't you just go get the books for him, it is your broom after all."

"Fine," Jimin said reluctantly, "but I am not helping you with anything else."

"Good, I don't need help with anything else." Yoongi replied sassily.

Jimin strolled into the library. Having been there very few times, he was unfamiliar with the environment, but eventually, he made his way to the restricted section. The librarian hardly noticed his presence when he walked through the door to the restricted section, as he was easily identifiable as an older student.

He held a crumpled piece of parchment in his left hand with delicate writing of the books he needed to collect. A few of which being 'Extreme Incantations' and 'Quintessence: A Quest'.

He squinted his eyes, going through the books in alphabetical order, occasionally picking up a book or two. Eventually, he had a whole stack of books balanced in his hands skilfully.

Yoongi sat on an empty table in the library, re-reading a charms book to ensure he didn't miss anything that might mention breaking complex charms, when Jimin approached, placing down the books he had collected from the restricted section.

"There you go. " he spoke, a bit too loudly for a library.

"Thank you" Yoongi replied softly, keeping quiet to not annoy the librarian even more.

Jimin nodded and turned to walk away, a small feeling inside his body wanted yoongi to ask him to stay, however yoongi already had picked up the first book in the pile, concentratedly reading, glasses delicately placed on the bridge of his nose.
