CH.1 An Unheard Rank

"...."

"Whe....where am I?"

"...."

"Why is it so dark in here?"

"...."

Jem looked around him but everything was black, he couldn't see anything but an endless darkness. A moment later he saw the blue light appeared suddenly not far away from him.

"Why is this damn blue light here again?"

Jem thought that the blue light was always following him, because it constantly appear before him since he last saw it. He was so curious about what really was the blue light was. He then didn't hold himself anymore and asked it.

"What are you!?? What do you need from me?" His expressions was showing toughness but deep inside he was so scared.

As the blue light was floating in the dark, it started to fly away from him. Out of curiosity, Jem followed the blue light.

"Hey wait for me! If you can speak, at least answer me first!" he shouted.

Everything around him was darkness and he could only see the blue light he was following. As he was running after the blue light, he didn't notice that there was a pit ahead.

He then fell from it.

"Aaaaah!" he shouted and reached up his hand while he was falling but....

....Jem opened his eyes as he was having a short of breath. He was relieved that it was just a dream that he found himself falling from the pit. Jem felt a little bit dizzy, but nevertheless he got up from his bed and sat on it.

"Argh.. My head hearts.."

He felt that the blue light was always made him suffer, but he was not so sure in himself on whatever the blue light really was. "Is it a dream? or not? or both?"

"Ugh!"

"...."

"But where the hell I am?"

When he opened his eyes, he was not in his room anymore. He looked around him and he just realized that he was in the hospital but there was no one around.

"Am I really in the hospital? But why am I here?"

"...."

"I only remember th.. that...

"...."

"Damn it! I can't remember anything!"

Actually, he remembered what had happened to him when he was in his room before he lost his consciousness but he was bewildered if he was just hallucinating or not so he didn't pay much attention on it.

"Argh.. My head really hurts, just where the hell is the doctor here?" He held his head down for a moment then he turned his head up again trying to relieve the pain.

Jem shouted to call for the doctor, but no one was answering him. He tried to louder his voice but he felt so weak that his voice didn't made any noise at all. He was about to stand up when he noticed that the book that he saw last time was just besides him.

"What the.... You again?!"

"...."

He knew that he already saw it before. He remembered that in his room, before he lost his consciousness, the old book that he found on his table became so much strange. It floated and fell down. And all of a sudden it opened up on its own, revealing some unknown words. The words floated on its own as it surrounded the book. When he tried to ignore it and turned away instead, he suddenly felt an unimaginable amount of burning pain all over his body that caused him to lose his consciousness. That time, he didn't know that the unknown words had entered in his head making him unconscious.
