‘What’s happening….’
‘A nightmare…it was powerful, it was real’
‘Do you want to tell me more about it?’
‘I was on a beautiful planet, with a Sun and a Moon……..but those who we used to be, started to destroy it, I couldn’t understand why, but then I realised that they started to destroy themselves’.
‘Why did it happen?’
‘I don’t know’.
‘What else did you see?’.
‘I saw inside thousands of hearts, I saw their dreams turning into nightmares, falling to pieces, destroyed by their own society, made power with no scruples, focused on themselves only, forgetting everyone else, forgetting the rest of the world….’
‘How was that possible? Who allowed it….and why?’.
‘I don’t know…I could see in their eyes that love was slowly dying. The more it died, the more they needed it, the more they needed it, the more they were taking it away from one another.
Now they looked at each other and saw each other in a different light. They couldn’t recognise beauty. They spoke to each other, but they couldn’t hear their voice carried by the wind. Electromagnetic waves travelled in the ether, distorting and breaking words, messages, hopes……
Money and riches unleashed wars, deaths, pain amongst people, brothers, fathers and children…
In their heart now blind, there was hatred, anger, prejudice, envy and selfishness…
There was shadow, where people wrongly hid the courage of being, their truth, their soul, their mistakes…..
Love died, forgiveness died, sacrifice died’.
‘It’s only a dream. If that’s what they were really like we wouldn’t be here now….’.
‘We’re here now because I saw them amongst them, amongst thousands of hearts like burning embers in a sea of ash. It was them and maybe they didn’t even realise it.
People still able to fight the shadow with the light, able to love, sacrificing blood and sweat, crying bitter tears, able to forgive the biggest pain by looking each other in the eyes, looking in the mirror, too strong to find themselves weak, to plan the impossible through heart and genius, to confront the nightmares to build dreams.
They were looking at the stars and they were feeling infinitesimally small, feeling alone amongst other people, after being rejected for being unique, different amongst a multitude of people who are all the same. It is thanks to them that we are here, thanks to those people who lived with their feet on the ground but with their hearts from the sky to the universe’.
